PFL has a superstar in their hands with Cedric Doumbe. The former Glory Kickboxing champion has already made a spectacular debut at PFL. This highlight reel performance happened in the presence of football superstars like Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi, among others. Doumbe scored a 9-second knockout on his debut at PFL Europe 3 2023 against Jordan Zebo.

PFL had already hyped up Doumbe’s upcoming fight against Baissangour Chamsoudinov at PFL Europe 1 2024 with a spectacular announcement. Now, Doumbe has further piqued the fans’ interest in his fight against Chamsoudinov with his hilarious skit. Merab Dvalishvili made viral skits that catapulted his fame, and now Doumbe has followed suit.

Doumbe uploaded his skit on social media channels, and it has gone viral. In the video, Doumbe booked a room for his opponent as he had already stated that his opponent would end up in the hospital. Moreover, he also essayed the role of a medic soon after in the video.

The UFC was the first to sign Doumbe but released him. Fight fans consider the move as one of the biggest mistakes the promotion ever made. Doumbe himself stated that UFC made a mistake but did not entirely rule out fighting under the UFC banner.

The undefeated Cedric Doumbe had only fought five times but is already a big name in the French MMA circuit. After an electrifying debut, the PFL and fight fans have high hopes for the former GLORY Kickboxing champion. In addition, Doumbe, the PFL already has another French superstar in Francis Ngannou. With these superstars, the PFL now has a French roster that is able to compete with the UFC.

Nonetheless, Doumbe will have a tough task against Baissangour Chamsoudinov, who is also undefeated. Chamsoudinov is a teammate of Ciryl Gane at the MMA Factory under Fernand Lopez. Even though his fighter is the underdog, Lopez had predicted an upset victory for his student against Doumbe.
