The golf world is celebrating the 2025 Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines in place of Riviera Country Club due to LA fires recently. While the event is lined up with top players competing for the title, the golf world took a moment to honor Tiger Woods‘ mother, Kultida Woods passing.

The PGA Tour put an all-white pin flag on the seventh hole to honor her passing. Kultida was a Buddhist, born in Thailand, and in their religion white symbolizes purity, wisdom, and longevity. On the other hand, the No.7 means enlightenment in Buddhism.

Apart from the PGA Tour, the players also wore red pins on their hats to honor Tiger Woods‘ mother Kultida. It is reported that the GOAT will be present for the final round of the course after withdrawing from the event saying he’s still in the phase of mourning.

For Woods, Kultida was his pillar in life as she’s been part of every event of her son. Not only did she support Woods from the sidelines, she was even present during TGL’s official debut.

Woods even said that he wears red because of his mother who said that it was his power color. Whether it was because of his color choice Woods has recorded and is still a magnetic force for the golf world. He credits his accomplishments to his parents who have always been by his side.
