On Sunday, quarterback Josh Allen landed a huge new contract with the Buffalo Bills. Following an incredible 2024-25 season, which saw him being named the MVP, the Bills gave Allen a $330 million contract. 6-time major champion Phil Mickelson would later congratulate him for this.
As per Insider Adam Schefter, Allen was given a record-breaking 6-year $330 million contract. Out of this, $250 million is guaranteed, making this the largest guarantee contract given to any player in the NFL.
While the NFL fans are surprised by this deal, Phil Mickelson would laud the Bills for giving Allen this contract. The “Lefty” took to his X account to make his feelings known about this deal. He would repost the tweet from Schefter and called the 28-year-old one of the ‘best’ players of the league.
Congrats to one of the best in the game. It’s so cool to be appreciated and respected the way the Bills do with Josh.

Mickelson obviously knows a thing or two about big contracts. The 45-time PGA Tour champion stunned the golfing world in 2022 when he left the PGA Tour to play for LIV Golf.
The American golfer reportedly landed a contract of around $200 million from LIV Golf. After making his debut in the LIV Golf International Series in London, he and 16 others were suspended from the PGA Tour. At the moment, he only plays in the major championship events of the PGA Tour schedule while leading his team, HyFlyers GC, on the 54-hole circuit.
Phil Mickelson achieves career best LIV Golf finish in Hong Kong event
The third event of the 2025 LIV Golf calendar in Hong Kong saw veteran golfer Sergio Garcia claim his 2nd LIV Golf title. The Spanish international finished 3 shots ahead of runner-up Dean Burmester. While he did not came out as the winner, Phil Mickelson achieved this best LIV Golf finish in this event.

The 54-year-old has struggled with form since making his way to the Saud-backed league. This decline in form has seen in finish below the top 10 standings in several events.
This was not the case in this one, though. The golfer seemingly turned back the clock and fired scores of 67, 65 and 64 in the three rounds to finish 3rd in the standings. He eventually finished the event 14-under, 4 shots behind Garcia.
This performance also comes at a great time for him. With the Masters Tournament around the corner, Mickelson is hoping to continue to play like this at the Augusta National.
I played well at Adelaide, didn’t putt well. I played well here, cleaned up some things, made some good putts throughout the three days, and then keep cleaning it up, get sharper and sharper. And feeling that pressure and that excitement coming down the stretch, like that only gets me more ready for Augusta. But I need to have, I need to keep building and keep improving, keep fine-tuning.

Mickelson is a 3-time winner of the Masters Tournament and could add a fourth green jacket with a win here next month. In 2023, he did finish T2 while being 8-under and four strokes behind eventual winner Jon Rahm.
