AT&T Stadium is a special place for not only the Dallas Cowboys but also the NFL in general. Usually known as the beacon of competitive football, it has become a sore sight as home fans have been suffering watching their team lose games. Today, against the Philadelphia Eagles, it was no different.
The Cowboys were going to be without Dak Prescott after his hamstring injury. That news was enough for many to already suggest that their season is over. But even then, a lot of faithful fans did make it to the afternoon game to see if their team were to put up a fight.
But Philadelphia Eagles fans, on the other hand, were more bullish about their chances. Their team has been on a hot streak recently, with all facets of the team playing well. Buoyed with that confidence, Eagles fans showed up at AT&T Stadium by the numbers.
Enough that a video clip shared on social media showed many in green overshadowing those in blue and white. Unlike other times when Cowboys fans packed the stadium to cheer on their team, this time, the lack of home fans was evident.

Those who chose to stay away saw their money saved after the 34-6 abomination their team faced. What was more embarrassing was the way they lost. On one hand, their defense did everything they could to give their offense more chances.
But the way their offense imploded was embarrassing. Scoring only six points that too from two field goals in a performance so bad that home fans had their hands over their heads. Some even wanted outside help to save their season.
Philadelphia Eagles’ defense showed they are an elite unit
The Dallas Cowboys fielded two quarterbacks and ended up with just two scoring drives. Those two were out of a total 13 attempts they had all game. Quite the pitiful return on all the snaps they took on the field.
Superstar wideout CeeDee Lamb and TE Jake Ferguson were all on the field. Even then, both Cooper Rush and Trey Lance could not do enough to move the needle. But more than their ineptitude, it was the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense that forced them into those situations.
One of the fumbles from Rush was due to his own mistake during the snap. But the other was when Eagles pass rusher Bryce Huff struck his throwing arm. They forced Ezekiel Elliott and Ferguson into fumbles as well.
Then they iced the game, intercepting Lance with almost the entire fourth quarter left to play. But it was not just these takeaways that showed how they dominated all night. It was the way they shadowed receivers, collapsed the pocket, and nullified passing attempts that showed how elite the Eagles’ defense has become off late. A scary situation for the rest of the league.
