(Video) Philadelphia police helps Chad Johnson catch his flight back home

Chad Johnson is known for sprinkling some wit and humor, along with his flair, whenever he has a chance. That character was what made him a household name during his time with the Cincinnati Bengals, and he carries it with him even at the ripe age of 47.
His humor and casual attitude are the perfect antidotes to Shannon Sharpe‘s slightly more serious method of discussing a topic.
That character also showed up when he sent messages on X suggesting something wasn’t right between him and Sharpe. He questioned how Sharpe’s media company would tie up with his ex-fiancee, Sharelle Rosado.
However, it turned out to be a ploy as it was a means to have fans follow his outburst and lead them to Rosado’s podcast. That flamboyant character might have also been the reason cops in Philadelphia did him a favor. He posted a video on his X account a while earlier where it shows him inside a police cruiser. The video shows the cruiser speeding down the expressway with lights and sirens on.

Johnson turns the phone to himself, showing him sitting with his highly polished whites shining in the dark. He added this caption to the video. Usually, only those arrested sit in the back of a police vehicle. However, him smiling and the caption suggests the officers probably did not want Chad Johnson to miss his flight.
Chad Johnson shows his cheap side again
Chad Johnson has earned nearly $49 million from his 11 seasons in the NFL. However, his frugal side was established from the start when it was reported that he lived inside the Cincinnati Bengals facilities. He refused to rent a place for himself until head coach Marvin Lewis asked him to find one.
Earning all that money and the success post-retirement in the form of the podcast with Nightcap suggests he does well for himself. But he still showed his cheap side when he wrote this on X after that police escort dropped him off at the Philadelphia International Airport.

It might just be banter to get fans to engage on his X account. However, it does not change the fact that people know him to be frugal. He even mocked Shannon Sharpe for driving an expensive electric car whereas he roams around in a small, cheap smart car.
