Rock band Coldplay has been at the top of internet searches in the past few days following the viral kiss cam controversy at one of their shows in Boston. On Friday, the Philadelphia Phillies mascot, Phanatic reenacted the viral moment.

On Wednesday, during the event, there was a kiss cam moment. During this, the camera would pan towards a couple. Instead of kissing, the man would go down, hiding his face and ducking away from the attention. Meanwhile, the woman would cover her face with her hands and turn away from the camera.

It was later revealed that the person was Andy Bryon, the CEO of the AI company Astronomer. Bryon was attending the event with Kristin Cabot, the Chief People Officer of the company. The two were allegedly caught cheating live during the concert.

Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.

Since that moment, several memes and jokes have been circulating on social media. The Philadelphia Phillies would join in on the fun and decided to have their own kiss cam moment at Citizens Bank Park during the game on Friday against the Los Angeles Angels.

In the middle of the game, the camera would pick out couples at the ballpark and show them on the giant jumbotron. After a few couples had some fun, the Phillies mascot decided to join the act.

Phanatic, along with a fellow mascot dressed in a blonde wig, would recreate the controversial viral moment between Bryon and Cabot. Their act would lead to huge cheers from the fans present in the ballpark. Check out the video below:

As per reports, the two Astronomers employees have been put on leave. So far, none of them have made any public comments regarding the matter.

Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora reveals he was at the Coldplay concert during viral moment

This incident took place on Wednesday, when the MLB was observing the All-Star Break. The league recently hosted the 2025 Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game at Truist Park in Atlanta.

Following the event, the players and staff were given two days off to relax and get back with their teams. In this break, Cora decided to attend the Coldplay concert on Wednesday night with some of his friends.

While speaking with the reporters at Wrigley Field, Cora would laugh at the mention of concert and claimed that it was fun.

I was actually (at) the Wednesday (Coldplay) concert. It was fun.

Alex Cora told the reporters

Cora and his team had been in stunning form before the All-Star Break. Following an 8-4 loss against the Cincinnati Reds, the team embarked on a 10-game winning streak. They would sweep the Washington Nationals, the Colorado Rockies, and the Tampa Bay Rays before heading into the break.

Their winning run came to an end, though, on Friday afternoon. In the game against the Chicago Cubs, the Red Sox’s offense was kept quiet by the hosts, and they ended up losing the contest 4-1. With this loss, the team is 53-45 for the season, 4 games behind the Toronto Blue Jays in the race for the 1st spot.
