In the 2024 NBA draft, the Philadelphia Sixers selected Duke star Jared McCain in the first round as the 16th overall pick. McCain was certainly one of the top stars entering the draft. He already has a great list of achievements like being a five-star recruit, a 2023 McDonald’s All-American and California Mr. Basketball. The Sixers management certainly made a great choice by getting the Duke star as he would make a great player for the team in the future.
Jared McCain is also known for being a great content creator on TikTok. He has nearly three million followers on the app and is known to make funny content. Recently, McCain released a new video on his TikTok account where he addressed the haters and gave them a hilarious response.
The video had McCain reading a comment about him just being on TikTok and not practicing. He then started to workout by doing pushups and practicing his shooting form with the famous song ‘Famous’ by Drake playing in the background.
It was certainly a great response by McCain to all the haters. McCain is a 6’2″ guard and can be great playing beside Tyrese Maxey. McCain is, in fact, a two-way guard, with scoring being his main skill. The Duke star was great in his college days and certainly was a great catch and shooting player.
Fans could expect him to a get few minutes coming off the bench in his rookie season. He could bring a great shooting touch to the team.
The Sixers certainly have made a great choice by drafting McCain. His playing style could complement other stars as well. With a great off season, the Sixers are certainly ready to make some noise in the coming season.
Philadelphia Sixers will be entering next season as the heavy favorites
The Philadelphia Sixers have certainly had one of the best offseason in the recent history. Overall, the Sixers were a great team with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey being the top stars of the team. They were a strong team in the Eastern Conference in the last season but lost to the New York Knicks in the playoffs.
This offseason, the Sixers added Paul George to their lineup, as George and the Los Angeles Clippers didn’t come to common ground with his contract. With the addition off Paul George to the team, the Sixers have certainly become one of the strongest teams in the East with Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks.
The Sixers now have their own big 3 in Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Paul George, who can cause great trouble to all the teams in the league. With a great pick in Jared McCain who can efficiently shoot threes, the Sixers can certainly win it all.
