PKL 2021: 3 teams with the best all-rounders

The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 8 is just around the corner and is expected to bring loads of joy and enthusiasm among the fans. The PKL 8 which is scheduled to begin on 22nd December at the Grand Sheraton Whitefield in Bengaluru will be played behind closed doors inside a bio-bubble. Although fans are not allowed at the stadium to witness the live kabaddi action, they can still watch their favourite all-rounders display their skills.
In recent years, the PKL has produced several excellent all-rounders who have always been a vital addition to their clubs. All-rounders offer a side with a twofold benefit in both attack and defense, which typically boosts the team’s success.
On that note, let’s take a look at the three teams with the best all-rounders in PKL 2021.
Jaipur Pink Panthers

Jaipur Pink Panthers, the inaugural winners, haven’t performed well in the PKL in recent years, but are set to flourish this season after assembling a superb roster for PKL 2021. They have roped in their star all-rounder Deepak Niwas Hooda using the FBM card for Rs 55 Lakhs. Hooda wasn’t up to the mark in PKL 7, scoring only 158 points, but with a total of 943 points in the PKL’s history, Hooda will be hoping to reclaim his prior success in PKL 2021.
The Panthers will also have the services of all-rounders Nitin Rawal and Sachin Narwal. Rawal’s capability to pull up Bonus points with ease and his exquisite accuracy on tackles make him a menace on both ends of the mat whereas Sachin’s unpredictability would also come in handy for Jaipur.
Dabang Delhi K.C.

Dabang Delhi K.C. performed admirably last season finishing at the top of the points table but ended as runners-up after losing to Bengal Warriors in the finals. This season, they have built one of the strongest squads and will be aiming to go one step further. Delhi spent a lot of money in the PKL 8 auction to get some big and seasoned all-rounders like Sandeep Narwal and Manjeet Chillar. They also retained their star all-rounder Vijay Jaglan.
Narwal and Chillar are two of the finest all-rounders in the history of PKL scoring 559 and 563 points respectively. They will be accompanied by Vijay and Balram who are also talented and consistent performers.
Haryana Steelers

Haryana Steelers had a fine outing last season where they ended at the eliminator stage owing to a loss to U Mumba. They will be hoping to better that performance this time and go all the way to lift their maiden PKL title. Haryana have invested massively in all-rounder this season as they have roped in six of them out of the total 14 players which makes them the side with most all-rounders. The six all-rounders include Shrikant Tewthia, Ajay Ghanghas, Hamid Nader, Rajesh Narwal, Rohit Gulia, and Vikas Jaglan.
The addition of Rajesh could prove to be a much-needed boost for the Steelers as he is one of the most experienced players who will be guiding the other talented all-rounders in the squad and also bringing efficiency to the lineup.
