Players and Viewers Not Happy with North America Last Chance Qualifier LAN
NA LCQ is the very first Valorant LAN event in North America and honestly, this event is a mess. On the very first day of the event almost all the players who played in the event have some if not many problems.
The very first thing that players noticed on stage is this so-called LAN event is being hosted on California Servers and not LAN (Local area network) servers. In LAN servers players always get 0 ping that means absolutely no network lag and delay. As players are playing in public California Server, should we even call this a “LAN Event”?
According to 100 Thieves player Hiko, This event doesn’t even feel like LAN. He tweeted, “We’re playing this LAN on online servers and it feels weird not being on LAN servers with 0 ping :(“
Another huge issue with this event is that players were getting disconnected left right and center. We almost saw some form of a network issue in almost all the maps. These small disconnections affect the game and series exponentially. According to viewers and players, the admins of the event handled the disconnections very poorly as well.
Another huge poorly handled administrator issue was pointed out by Cloud9 Blue player Vanity, As Gen.G coach was not present in the LAN location but he was still allowed to get in the coaching slot remotely. This is really not expectable and really hurts the competitive integrity.
