Liv Morgan was arrested at a traffic stop in Florida in December 2023 while on a hiatus from WWE. She allegedly possessed marijuana, drug equipment, and potentially synthetic cannabinoid drugs. While most charges against her were already dropped earlier this year, the body camera footage of her arrest has finally been made public.
Police body cam footage of Morgan’s arrest was recently released by Law and Crime Network. The footage displays police officers going through her personal items. One officer even reads through her personal diary out loud. The diary repeatedly mentioned details about WWE and her wrestling career.
The police officer also finds an identity card belonging to the wrestler, and even claims that he knows her. He continues to search through most of her items in her car using his flashlight. The former Ms. Money in the Bank winner was aware that this footage was making rounds on the internet.
Although Liv Morgan did not mention the released footage directly, she did refer to it on her social media. She tweeted out, saying that since she now had everyone’s attention, they should do some good. Further, Morgan attached a donation link to the Make-a-Wish charity and encouraged her followers to donate for a good cause.
Fans are outraged after body camera footage of Liv Morgan’s arrest goes viral
Needless to say, this footage being released publicly caused massive outrage in the wrestling world. Fans were disgusted at the invasion of privacy done by the police officers. Some even went so far as to say that the 29-year-old should press charges against them.
Several people also pointed out that such behavior was common during an arrest and police search. Law enforcement officers generally go through journals, diaries, and other writings. This is done to gather more evidence and proof of substance abuse and other crimes.
Regardless, the WWE Universe was glad that the Raw Superstar was able to put such things beside her. Morgan was fined $543, and all charges were dropped. She was also able to make her return at the Royal Rumble the month after this incident.
