While the White Sox had another disappointing campaign this year, they at least finished with a better record than the one they had in 2024. The AL Central side went 60-102 this season, way better than their 41-121 record in 2024.
The Cubs, on the other hand, reached the postseason for the first time since 2020. They took down the San Diego Padres in the National League Wild Card Series, but lost in Game 5 of the National League Division Series against the Milwaukee Brewers.

In a literal moving vehicle and still not passing up an opportunity to dunk on the Cubs is extreme Sox fan behavior. God bless it. https://t.co/yH27PGK4v3

Pope Leo XIV (born Robert Prevost) is from Chicago and has ties with the White Sox. While there had been some dispute regarding which team he supported, it was quickly clarified that he rooted for the White Sox.
After he succeeded Pope Francis as the new head, Pope Leo XIV was honored by the White Sox. They installed a new mural in Section 140 of their home stadium. The artwork featured the Pope in his regalia, hands raised in a gesture. Above the artwork featured a screenshot of a broadcast featuring him watching Game 1 of the 2005 World Series against the Houston Astros.
Cubs fans left concerned following emotional note from Kyle Tucker
As the Chicago Cubs fans got trolled on social media following the playful jab from Pope Leo XIV, Kyle Tucker dropped an emotional note. The message from the former Houston Astros star has left the Cubs fans concerned.

Tucker was traded away to the Cubs despite drawing some heavy interest from the New York Yankees earlier this year. Despite missing some games due to injury, the 28-year-old was one of the top performers for the Cubs this year.
In 136 regular-season games, he batted with a .266 average while hitting 22 home runs and having 73 RBIs. In the postseason, he went 7-for-27 with one home run to his name.
Tucker is expected to hit the free agency market this offseason and is rumored to land a big deal. On Wednesday, he took to his Instagram account and dropped an emotional note and thanked the Cubs fans for their support throughout the season.
Thank you Chicago for riding with us all year long! Y’all’s support was there no matter what and we couldn’t have done it without you. #FlyTheW

This message from him has left the Cubs fans concerned. There are chances that he might not return to them and sign with some other team in the offseason. Only time will tell what happens next regarding this future.
