India vs England 2021: Prasidh Krishna and Krunal Pandya to receive ODI call-ups – Reports

Prasidh Krishna and Krunal Pandya
India are all set to announce their squad for the three-match ODI series against England which will follow the ongoing five-match T20I series and according to reports, they will name Prasidh Krishna and Krunal Pandya in the same. The three ODIs will be played on March 23, 26 and 28 with all in the same venue – the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune behind closed doors.
The T20I series meanwhile, is all square at the moment with two matches being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The remaining three matches will be crucial in helping India deciding their best combination as well as in identifying their strengths and weaknesses before the all-important ICC T20 World Cup which is set to take place later this year and in India at that.
Prasidh Krishna and Krunal Pandya to be rewarded for domestic form

According to reports from Cricbuzz, Prasidh Krishna and Krunal Pandya will receive a call-up to the national team for the ODIs on the back of their excellent form in the domestic circuit. Karnataka’s Prasidh Krishna returned 14 wickets in the Vijay Hazare Trophy that concluded yesterday. The lanky fast-bowler has been delivering such consistent performances for his side over the years and is set to be rewarded.
Meanwhile, Krunal Pandya is no stranger to the national team having played in 18 T20Is. However, he has not appeared in an ODI for India. In the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Krunal was in terrific form as well as he scored two hundreds and two half-centuries. Meanwhile, other performers from the tournament like Prithvi Shaw and Devdutt Padikkal are set to be overlooked due to the heavy competition for the opening slot.
