Premier League 2020/21 : Leicester City vs Manchester City

The Premier League season continues with a blast. Leicester City record a 5-2 win against Manchester City at the Etihad. The visitors found themselves trailing early. However a Jamie Vardy hattrick leads them to victory.

Moreover Leicester City are now at the top the table. This is a first ok the club’s history.

First Half

Riyad Mahrez gives Manchester City the early lead in the match. A shit from outside the box right into the top corner. Mahrez fires City into the lead. However that is short lived as Kyle Walker gives away a penalty to Manchester City. A tackle on Vardy and he goes down. Vardy steps up and slams the ball in past Ederson!

The second half starts off with a bang. Castagne delivers a perfect cross into the box and Vardy is there to finish! The Leicester City striker is brought down again in the penalty box. He steps up and slots in the right hand corner. Hattrick complete for Jamie Vardy!

However the foxes aren’t done just yet. James Maddison drives in a shot from far out. It’s a lovely curling effort and Ederson is beaten again. However Manchester City aren’t going down without a fight. Nathan Ake pulls one back for the hosts.

However James Maddison is brought down in teh penalty box. Yet another penalty for the visitors. This time it’s Tielemanns who takes it and makes it five. An extraordinary result for Leicester City and Brendan Rodgers. The match ends 5-2.
