Let’s have a look at how the player’s performed :

Arsenal

Aaron Ramsdale (GK) (6.7/10) : A good game for Ramsdale. He made some good standard saves followed by a couple of high claims and some really good saves inside the box. He could’ve earned himself a clean sheet had it not been for Ramsey’s goal.

Takehiro Tomiyasu (6.5/10) : Takehiro did an exceptional job at making valuable clearences. Although, he did lose possession on way too many occasions. He had a shot at goal but he was way off target on attempt.

Ben White (7.1/10) : White had a really good game in the defence. He made some really good interceptions to keep the ball in favour of Arsenal. He then made some clearences and provided an iron clad performance in defence.

Gabriel (7.1/10) : Gabriel was really quick with his feet and was really accurate with passing. He made some good tackles and interceptions and contributed well in the defence for Arsenal.

Nuno Tavares (6.8/10) : Nuno Tavares was a valuable asset for Arsenal in the game. He created a big goal scoring opportunity for his team and he himself took several attempts at goal. However, he failed to convert it into a goal.

Bukayo Saka (6.9/10) : Saka was one of the most active players on field. He did put in too many efforts for ground duels but gave away possession on many occasions. He had as many as three attempts at goal off which he was on target on one. However, he was denied the opportunity by the keeper.

Albert Sambi Lokonga (6.8/10) : Lokonga was called back in the 73rd minute of the game. He himself took one too many attempts at goal and never locked back. He had a decent game overall.

Thomas Partey (7.2/10) : Partey scored the opening goal of the match. He received an incoming corner to which he responded neatly by flicking the header in the back of the net. With that, the Gunners finally lead 1-0.

Emile Smith Rowe (8.8/10) : Emile Smith was undoubtedly the best player for the home side. He first assisted Partey to score the opening goal of the match and later scored a beautiful goal for Arsenal. He took a deflection off a Villa player which earned him his first of the match and the Gunners got their third.

Alexandre Lacazette (7/10) : Lacazette walked back with an unfortunate injury. However, before walking back in he had a decent game overall.

Douglas Luiz (7.6/10) : One of the best player’s for Aston Villa in today’s game. He made as many as five super valuable interceptions that helped them keep the game in control. He was super quick with his feet as he won way too many ground duels and his dribbling attempts were successful at each go.

Matt Targett (6.9/10) : An overall decent performance in the defence and in the midfield. He won quite a few duels and kept the ball away from the goal.

Danny Ings (6.6/10) : Just another average game for Danny Ings. He did a decent job statistically but he had no motivation to create huge goal scoring opportunities. Even if he did try, he didn’t know how to coordinate with the rest.
