Premier League: Brighton vs Liverpool player ratings as the Reds earned yet another away win
Liverpool defeated Brighton away from home as Salah and Diaz scored.
Liverpool went to Amex stadium with a view to extending their brilliant run of wins in the Premier League. Luis Diaz broke the deadlock for Liverpool as he headed in from Matip’s ball. Further, Mohamed Salah doubled their lead after scoring from the penalty spot.
Liverpool controlled the game in most of the stages and kept a clean sheet away from which is another positive for the Reds. Here are the player ratings from the game.

Robert Sanchez 6/10
He could not reach it before Diaz as the Columbian scored and the goalkeeper had a risk of getting sent off. He had a busy game and he made an important near-post save from Salah’s shot.

He was very lively in carrying the ball and driving forward to contribute to the build-up plays and tracked back when required to form a bak four. He had a moment of difficulty when Salah beat him in the danger area.
Luis Dunk 6.5/10
He started the game well as he made some good-headed clearances. However, later Liverpool’s attack got the better of him as they created many chances.
Veltman 6/10
He tried to make recoveries and tried to keep them in the game. He further sent some long balls to try to build. However, he could not track the inside runs of Liverpool’s attacks.
Cucurella 6.5/10
Marc Cucurella had moments of difficulties in trying to deny Salah’s threat as the Egyptian excelled very well. He made a good sprint in the latter stages of first half.
Yves Bissouma 6.5/10
He had good passing accuracy in midfield as his contribution helped his side keep some possession. However, he conceded a penalty which was dispatched by Salah.

There were spells when he could not involve in the game as he had fewer touches. However, as the game progresses he grew into the game and won some duels.

March could not make inside runs to gave the backline some trouble as he lacked the service on his wing.

He had a
very good game as his pass accuracy was immense and overall play was good too. He made successful tackles and created opportunities for his side.

He had a few chances but could not find the net as he could not replicate his performance from the earlier game against Liverpool.

He could not find the net as his two shots went wide. He made good recoveries and tried to win the ball back.

His distribution was as always very good. He saved shots from inside the box but had one moment of a scare when he grabbed the ball but his feet were outside the area and luckily avoided a handball.

The English fullback was very good in tracking back and winning the defensive duels at times. Further, his crosses continued to help his attack.
Joel Matip 7.5/10
On the back of player of month award, Matip continued to impress as his accurate passing helped his side and he also provided assist for Diaz’s goal.
Virgil Van Dijk 7/10
The towering center back was very good in the air and recoveries and sent some great long balls to the wing-backs.
Andrew Robertson 7/10
He was constantly driving forward from his flank combining with Luis Diaz while keeping the track of Brighton’s winger.
Naby Keita 6.5/10
Keita had a good game and especially in the first half, he was very good at making recoveries and carrying the ball. Further he had a part in the penalty too.
Fabinho 7/10
Shielded the backline very well at times while keeping the ball in the midfield. Further he won the fouls in great positions.
Jordan Henderson 7/10
He won the ball at crucial stages and helped his side win the midfield battles. Most of his passes were in the final third.
Mohamed Salah 7.5/10
Mo Salah achieved yet another glorious moment as he enter the club of players with 20 plus goals in four seasons. He was a constant threat and scored from the spot.
Sadio Mane 7/10
His fast movement and carrying of the ball caused problems to Brighton and his off-the-ball positions too helped Salah and Diaz.
Luis Diaz 7/10
The Columbian opened the scoring for Liverpool as he headed the ball but had a collision with Sanchez. But he recovered well and continue to have a part in attacking play in the rest of the game.
