Burnley vs Manchester United: Burnley faced Manchester United on a typical rainy day at Turf Moor on Matchday 24 of the Premier League.
The first half included a Manchester United goal by a returning Paul Pogba. Two United goals were cancelled- one by the VAR and another by the referee for a foul leading up to the goal. Burnley had their chances but could not capitalize it.
But the Clarets looked a completely different team from the start of the second half. Burnley equalized through a Jay Rodriguez goal in the 47th minute and did enough to steal a draw against United.

Nick Pope (7.1/10): Pope made brilliant saves to keep Burnley in the game including a point blank save of a Cavani’s header.
Connor Roberts (6.2/10): Roberts’ complacency led to a goal for United. He looked uncomfortable facing Sancho’s quick feet throughout the match.
James Tarkowski (7.5/10): Tarkowski continuing his brilliant run of form had a good game in the back making crucial blocks and interceptions.
Ben Mee (7.2/10): Burnley’s captain along with Tarkowski was exceptional in defence as United’s forwards could not get past the centre backs.
Erik Pieters (7/10): The left-back was disciplined and defensively strong. He made important tackles in the final minutes to hold off a draw.
Maxwell Cornet (6/10): Playing at the left-wing position, Cornet was looking for the ball and making the runs between the defenders before going out injured.
Ashley Westwood (6.5/10): Westwood had a decent game in the midfield and linked the defence and offence pretty well.
Josh Brownhill (6.8/10): Returning from a suspension, Brownhill had an imposing presence on the pitch and won many 50-50 duels.
Dwight McNeil (7/10): McNeil kept switching between the flanks but looked comfortable in both the positions despite not having much of the ball.
Wout Weghorst (7.5/10): Weghorst was one of the better players on the pitch on the night as he got a crucial assist. His quick-thinking and clever pass gave Burnley their equalizer.
Jay Rodriguez (7.6/10): Rodriguez’s cool finish from Weghorst’s pass was the highlight of the match.

David de Gea (6/10): Apart from a cracking save of Weghorst’s volley, de Gea had a mediocre game.
Diogo Dalot (7.2/10): The right-back demonstrated lovely footwork and made many forward runs and was decent at the back.
Raphael Varane (6.2/10): Varane’s defensive positioning was good in spite of conceding a goal. He also had a goal disallowed by VAR.
Harry Maguire (5.5/10): Maguire lacked intent at the back and was out of positions which led to a goal.
Luke Shaw (7.7/10): Shaw partnered up well with Sancho on the left flank going forward. He assisted a first half Paul Pogba goal through a cut back pass inside the box.
Paul Pogba (7.6/10): The midfielder returned to the Premier League with a goal after missing more than 3 months of action.
Scott McTominay (7.1/10): McTominay played the holding midfielder’s role brilliantly. He regained possession, won balls and was the first line of United’s defence.
Bruno Fernandes (7.5/10): Fernandes’ vision and passing was key to many United attacks. He was the pivot of the team and fed important passes to the attackers.
Jadon Sancho (7.2/10): Sancho’s dribbling from the left wing would make vintage Ronaldo proud. He found space and created chances but did not have the finishing.
Marcus Rashford (6.1/10): Rashford had a couple of shots on target from an acute angle which was saved by Pope.
Edinson Cavani (5.7/10): Cavani did not have a match to remember as he missed an important chance from inside the 6-yard box.
