Burnley vs Norwich City Player Ratings
In an insipid match which took place in the Turf Moor, Burnley were held by Norwich in a goalless draw. Burnley were in control of the possession from the start with Brownhill and Mcneil threatening the visitors constantly. Norwich started brightly in the second half with Normann and Pukki going close. Brownhill and Westwood of Burnley were threatening Norwich but their defence saw through a draw in a rather slow game. Coincidentally it was the first-ever goalless draw between Burnley and Norwich City in 44 meetings.
Burnley players:
Nick Pope (GK) (7/10)
Pope didn’t have much to do and was neat and tidy in passing but made an excellent save of Normann from the freekick.
Matthew Lowton(7.5/10)
Lowton looked dangerous from the right flank with his through balls and exciting runs. He wasn’t shy in taking a shot and was looking lively. He missed a glorious chance to score in the 88th minute.
Charlie Taylor(7/10)
Taylor was solid . Passed well and dictated the play from the back.
James Larkaowski(7.5/10)
James made some positive passes into the midfield and played well.
Nathan Collins(6/10)
Collins was poor today with his crossing and had no significant impact to the game.
Josh Brownhill(8.5/10)
Brownhill was one the most exciting player to watch on the pitch today. His amazing work ethic, accurate passing and lethal lobs were a menace to the Norwich defence.
Dwight Mcneil(7/10)
Mcneil was tidy in possession and linked up well with Brownhill.
Aaron Lennon( 8.5/10)
Lennon was tirelessly running and making impactful situations with his passes and crosses. On his day, he would have bagged a goal.
Ashley Westwood(7.5/10)
Westwood was bright in some mormons and tested Tim Krull in the second half.
Chris Wood(8.5/10)
Chris Wood seemed off today and did not create many chances. His positioning was questionable and his first touch led the team down.
Matej Vydra( 6/10)
Vydra was decent in possession and was playing well but got injured and then got substituted by Rodriguez .

Krul made some fine stops especially near the post against Lennon and was sturdy throughout the game.

Aarons was decent with the passing and made promising runs.
Ben Gibson(7/10)
Gibson was solid and made important blocks and passed well.
Grant Hanley(7/10)
Hanley was solid at the back and neutralised the Burnley attack with elegance.
Ozan Kabak(7.5/10)
Kabak looked sharp from the start and remained calm and composed and made a fine run from his half to win a free kick in the attacking half.
Dimitris Giannoulis(7/10)
Giannoulis was solid in defending but could have been better while passing. Made a few important interceptions.
Mathias Normann(8.5/10)
Normann was playing well and was rotating possession really well. Tackled cleanly and made a few important interventions and his over-the-top balls were a constant menace to the Burnley defence.
Pierre Lees-Melou (6.5/10)
Melou was quiet and made little effort in the press. His touches were poor and could have been better.
Kenny Mclean(7/10)
Mclean was tidy in possession and made important blocks which were important and tidy. Though he made some silly fouls.
Joshua Sargent(6.5/10)
Sargent was poor along side Pukki today and couldn’t really get into the game. Poor game.
Teemu Pukki(7/10)
Pukki was making runs in behind the defenders but could not contribute significantly to the game.
