Premier League: Chelsea vs Burnley Player Ratings

Frank Lampard’s Chelsea defeated Burnley at Turf Moor by 3 goals to nil. Hakim Ziyech scored his first Premier League goal as he was handed his debut PL match. Timo Werner continued his golden run along with Kurt Zouma.

In this article we’ll take a look at how the Chelsea players fared in their win.

Chelsea Player Ratings

Eduoard Mendy – 6

Mendy had little to do in the entire match as Burnley hardly had a shot on target. However he did have to close down on Barnes when he was through on goal.

Kurt Zouma – 8

Zouma scored yet another goal for Chelsea which takes his tally upto 3 this season. Another solid display from the defender plus a clean sheet.

Thiago Silva- 9

Yet another solid defensive display from the veteran. Silva played a crucial role in organising and disciplining the backline. He was vocal at the back and put some good tackles.

Reece James – 7

James had another good match as he bursted through on the right flank many times. Reece provided several good crosses and gives Frank Lampard that attacking threat from his fullback.

Ben Chilwell-6

Chilwell did have some opportunities to deliver good crosses but failed to do so. Overall he had a decent match but there was definitely room for improvement.

N’golo Kante- 9

Back to his DM role and back to his peak performance levels. Kante was used in his defensive midfield position and gave a masterclass. He was all over the pitch and guarded the defence brilliantly and provided really good distribution as well. Frank Lampard seems to have solved the Kante puzzle afterall.

Mason Mount- 7

Mount did what he does best – extreme work rate with a positive response. Operating in his number 8 role seems to have benefited him greatly.

Kai Havertz-7

Havertz yet again gave a good performance with moments of brilliance to wriggle out of tight spaces. He’s turning into being a real asset for Chelsea.

Tammy Abraham- 7

Abraham did his job perfectly. He was a target man and did well to hold up the play and set off the wingers and fullbacks. Plus he gave a delightful assist to open the scoring via Hakim Ziyech

Hakim Ziyech– 9

The wizard from Ajax is slowly turning tides towards Chelsea as well. Two starts and two goals for Hakim Ziyech as he looks to cement his place in the starting line up. Plus he provided the assist for Timo Werner as well.

Timo Werner -8

The German striker continues his terrific goalscoring form. Brought in place of Christian Pulisic just moments before kickoff , Werner made sure he made the most of the opportunity.
