Premier League: Chelsea vs Manchester City player ratings as Manchester City earn huge three points at Stamford Bridge
Manchester City earned a huge victory against Chelsea tonight with a 1-0 victory. Gabriel Jesus scored the solitary goal of the match in the second half. Thiago Silva made a huge off the goal line clearance to keep the Blues in the match. Manchester City dominated throughout the game and hardly gave Chelsea a chance.

Chelsea
Eduoard Mendy (7/10) – Had to be at his best tonight with Manchester City and made a splendid save off Jack Grealish in the second half.
Cesar Azpilicueta (6/10)- Azpilicueta was solid defensively but hardly made any contribution while going forward.
Antonio Rudiger(7/10)- A dominant performance from the German defender who put in some strong hard tackles on the City forwards.
Andreas Christensenn(6/10)- Andreas Christensen made some good blocks tonight and had to be constantly alert inside the penalty box.
Marcos Alonso(4/10)- the Spanish international had an absolute horrible first half and lost the ball far too many times in dangerous positions.
N’golo Kante (6/10)- Was not at his usual best today the French midfielder and couldn’t get the crucial passes.
Reece James(5/10)- Reece James’s game was cut short with the fullback having injury issues and had to be substituted.
Jorginho(6/10)- Jorginho made a crucial clearance after a dangerous cross by right back Joao Cancelo. Was unlucky to to have deflected the goal.
Matteo Kovacic (7/10) – a decent performance from the midfielder who had a crack at goal in the second half but was blocked.
Romelu Lukaku (6/10)- the big Belgian international was hardly given anything to work with tonight and the one goal he scored was declared offside.
Timo Werner(6/10)- Werner got into some great positions in the first half and put in a good cross into the box in the first half for Romelu Lukaku.
Substitutes
Thiago Silva (7/10)- The experienced Brazilian centre back made a brilliant off the line clearance.
Kai Havertz (6/10)- The German international came in place of N’golo Kante and made one good run but was offside.
Ruben Loftus Cheek (7/10)- Loftus Cheek was given a chance and came on for Jorginho and made some good take ons in the short span.
Manchester City
Ederson Moares(7/10)- Ederson Moares didn’t have much to do in the first half but once again playing the role of a sweeper keeper on several occasions.
Kyle Walker(6/10)- Kyle Walker was solid defensively but would have wanted to ahead more given his reputation.
Ruben Dias (8/10)- Ruben Dias was utterly dominant today with a fantastic block off Matteo Kovacic in the second half.
Aymric Laporte (7/10) what a solid performance from the Spanish defender who hardly left the Chelsea forwards with any space to breathe.
Joao Cancelo (7/10)- a very good performance from the Portuguese international who made brilliant overlapping runs.
Rodri Hernandez (6/10)- A decent performance from Rodri who held his ground well and even had a shot deflected for a corner.
Kevin De Bruyne (7/10)- Kevin De Bruyne found himself in prime position in he first half and fired the ball over the post.
Phil Foden (7/10) – Was continuously troubling the Chelsea defenders and was trying to chip in balls into the penalty box.
Jack Grealish (7/10)- Jack Grealish is usual style tried to take on the Chelsea defenders on the right Cesar Azpilicueta and Reece James but didn’t manage to get much. But forced a good save off Eduoard Mendy.
Bernardo Silva (6/10)- Bernardo Silva dropped down to the halfway line to receive the balls but didn’t create much opportunity.
Gabriel Jesus (8/10) – Missed a fantastic opportunity to score after chesting down the ball in front of Mendy but fired wide. But in the second half maintained his composure to score through a herd of Chelsea defenders.
Substitutes
Riyad Mahrez ( 6/10)- Riyad Mahrez came on for Kevin De Bruyne and drew in a foul from Antonio Rudiger.
