At the end of the closely contested game at Stamford Bridge, here are Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur player ratings.
Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea were involved in an end to end game in the first half with both teams getting closer to score. Lukaku missed the opportunity to find the back of the net whereas Kane’s goal was chalked off due to a push on Silva’s back. The half ended at 0-0.
In the second half, Chelsea was a superior side with their intensity. Their efforts paid off when Hakim Ziyech and Thiago Silva found the back of the net with beautiful goals. Despite their try at the death, Tottenham Hotspur failed to register the goal.

Kepa Arrizzabalaga (7/10): In the absence of Edouard Mendy, Kepa did a great job between the posts. He had to pull up only two saves.
Thiago Silva (7.7/10): The Brazilian central defender was on top of his game despite a yellow card. He doubled Chelsea’s lead after heading it past the shot-stopper.
Antonio Rudiger (6.8/10): Antonio Rudiger asserted the domination in the defense with his calls and aerial wins. He kept Harry Kane and Steven Bergjwin at bay.
Malang Sarr (6.9/10): Malang Sarr enjoyed the game in the absence of natural options for Thomas Tuchel. He contributed with both attack and defense on the left flank.
Cesar Azpilicueta (7.4/10): If keeping the wingers is an art, Azpilicueta is a picasso if it. He did manage to keep Harry Kane at the bay. He also pinned the opposite full back with his daunting runs.
Jorginho (7.4/10): The Italian midfielder was able to break the attacks with his crucial interceptions. He had three tackles to his name before getting subbed.
Hakim Ziyech (8.8/10): The Moroccan international was not included by his national team but did show what he is capable of with his crosses and the 25-yard screamer.
Mason Mount (7.4/10): The playmaker was able to get an assist to his name for the second goal. He conducted the defense with the attack beautifully throughout the game.
Mateo Kovacic (6.5/10): Though not a great game for Kovacic, he was instrumental in breaking up the play of Tottenham Hotspur.
Callum Hudson-Odoi (7/10): The young midfielder started on the flanks and proved his worth with great runs. He also registered an assist for the first goal of the game.
Romelu Lukaku (6.5/10): The Belgian striker was missing and was unable to find the back of the net in the first half when he received an absolute dolly. However, he helped his side with hold-up play in the second half.

Hugo Lloris (6/10): Though Hugo Lloris was on top of his game in the first half, in the second half, the shot stopper conceded two goals that hampered the team’s chances.
Ben Davis (6.1/10): The player complemented his side with his attacking inputs but was unable to defend the first goal. He let Ziyech take a shot that was converted to a goal.
Davinson Sanchez (6.2/10): The talismanic defender put his body on line several times but was unable to keep the clean sheet.
Eric Dier (6/10): Though Eric Dier made a huge impact in the first half by marshaling his side, in the second half, due to his poor communication, the team failed to make a mark.
Japhet Tanganga (5.8/10): Japhet Tanganga was partially to be blamed for the first goal. His yellow card did not allow him to stop Hudson Odoi’s run who registered an assist for the goal.
Pierre Hojbjerg (6.2/10): Hojbjerg did break the opposition lines twice but was unable to register an assist. However, he had a tackle to his name and was a workhorse in the midfield.
Matt Doherty (5.8/10): The former Wolverhampton Wanderers player was unable to keep hold of the opposition on the right flank. However, he had a tackle to his name.
Harry Winks (6.6/10): Harry Winks was the warrior in the midfield for Tottenham Hotspur. Not only did he have two dribbles to his name, Winks also enjoyed a pass success rate of 81%.
Ryan Sessegnon (5.8/10): Ryan Sessegnon had an unnerving game against Chelsea. He was distracted throughout the game and failed to make any contributions to his side.
Steven Bergjwin (6/10): Steven Bergjwin did not have things to do in both halves as Chelsea had majority of the possession. He had three dribbles to his name.
