Leeds United

Leeds United player Liam Cooper

Meslier 6/10

The young shot-stopper was a busy figure right from the start as Liverpool’s attack was in the mood. Made some good clearances at times. Wasn’t at the fault for the goal.

Luke Ayling 6/10

Had a great chance to score by himself on the counter but his half volley was over the bar. Had a difficult afternoon dealing with trickeries of Mane and Jota.

Diego Llorente 6/10

Unfortunate to leave the stadium with an injury. Did fairly enough till the time when he was on the pitch.

Liam Cooper 6/10

Young Harvey Elliott picked some pockets behind Cooper early in the game. However, some headed clearances kept them in the game.

Junior Firpo 5.5/10

Had a difficult time nullifying the threat of Mo Salah, who scored his 100th goal today. Couldn’t offer much forward as Trent and Salah were packing the wing.

Kalvin Phillips 6/10

He was good on the ball at times trying to channelize the ball towards wing plays. However, his side was losing the midfield battles most of the time against Liverpool’s industrious one.

Raphinha 6.5/10

Troubled Liverpool’s rearguard through quick counters but the end product was missing. Robertson got the better if him while challenging for the duels.

Stuart Dallas 6/10

Played his part in the counter-attacks but all in all, quite an uneventful game.

Rodrigo 6/10

Had a wonderful chance to score by himself when Raphinha supplied him, but Rodrigo hit straight at Alisson. Couldn’t get much into the final third. He was substituted in the break.

Jack Harrison 6.5/10

Tried to make things happen from the left flank and made some good runs in behind. But similar to his counterpart Raphinha, the end product was missing in the final third.

Patrick Bamford 5/10

The England international was an ineffective figure throughout the game. He tried to do something but his first touches weren’t the best. He could have blocked Fabinho’s attempt.

Displayed a strong pair of hands to deny Rodrigo on the counter. Wasn’t troubled much later in the game.

Trent Alexander Arnold 7/10

Provided an assist for Sarah’s 100th Premier League goal. He was at his usual best at a time going forward.

Virgil Van Dijk 7/10

Confident and controlled at the back. Channelized some great long balls to build the things.

Joel Matip 7/10

Partnered with Van Dijk well, made some good clearances and he brought the ball forward very well which set up Sarah’s goal.

Andrew Robertson 7.5/10

He nullified Raphina’s threat very well and was commanding from the left flank.

Fabinho  8/10

One of the favorites for the man of the match. Made some great interceptions and scored Liverpool’s second goal. He was a force in the midfield alongside Thiago

Thiago 7.5/10

Combined very well with Fabinho. His distribution was very well and he tried to make things happen with some good inside passes into the final third.

Harvey Elliott 6.5/10

The bright young talent was very unfortunate to leave the stadium due to a serious injury. He did very well with some of the dribblings and was combining well with Salah and co.

Sadio Mane 6/10

He tried very hard to make things turn in his favor however it was just not working. Missed a great chance from very close range and also later on in the game, the Senegalese star had plenty of chances to score. His moment came I’m the 93rd minute when Thiago put a deft delivery inside the box and scored with a fighting shot from close range. Huge moment of personal uplift for him.

Diogo Jota 6.5/10

Was good on the ball and set up two very good chances for Sadio Mane to score.

Mo Salah 7/10

Scored his 100th Premier League goal. His Liverpool stint is just unbelievable. He was immense in the right side and was a constant threat.
