Premier League: Liverpool vs West Ham player ratings as the Reds earn a crucial victory

Liverpool registered a crucial win over West Ham as Sadio Mane's goal proved to be the difference

Liverpool locked horns with West Ham at Anfield as the Reds look to maintain pace at the top of the table. Liverpool defeated the Hammers by one goal to nil as Sadio Mane’s first-half goal proved to be the winner.

Liverpool had a plethora of chances to find the net but lacked the edge up front at times. West HAm too had their opportunities but the away side could not capitalise on it. Liverpool have now reduced the gap at the top with Man City playing Man United tomorrow night.

The Brazilian was a crucial figure between the sticks for Liverpool as he made some great saves to deny Michael antonio from scoring and also maintained a good distribution.

Trent Alexander Arnold 7.5/10

The right-back was very efficient in going forward as he assisted Mane’s goal and created chances. He also made a very crucial off the line clearance in the first half.

Ibrahim Konate 7/10

His distribution of the ball was impressive and he made some crucial blocks and interceptions while denying the threats of likes Antonio.

Virgil Van Dijk 7.5/10

The towering enter back won the headed battles and duels with West Ham’s attack and also kept fuelling Liverpool’s attack by sending good lobbed balls.

Andrew Robertson 7/10

Robertson had a good space pretty much all the game to make the runs and combine with Diaz. He was good in linkup play and sent crosses to feed Mane and Salah.

The midfield maestro made some key recoveries in the center of the park and was constantly winning the ball. He was industrious in midfield. He sent a very impressive lobbed delivery to Trent in the first half.

Keita was initially a doubt for the game but he started it and had a good part to play in it. He was trying to create chances with tricky short passes and was positionally good.

Jordan Henderson 6.5/10

His work rate must have impressed Klopp. He was constantly shifting across the wings and provided good support to wingers in building the chances.

Luis Diaz has made a brilliant start to his stint at the English heavyweights. He was a constant threat near the box; creating the chances to score. He made a very impressive sprint in the first half from the half-line.

Sadio Mane 6.5/10

Sadio Mane broke the deadlock for Liverpool after scoring from Trent’s ball. He had some decent chances throughout the game to extent the lead.

He was causing a lot of problems for the rearguard with his tricks and tweaks. His link-up play with Trent was brilliant at times. He had a very good chance to score very early in the game but the keeper stood strong.

He did very well to stop Salah from scoring very early in the game. He was good in distribution and also did enough to stop diaz scoring in the first half after Trent’s delivery into the box.

He was struggling at times to cope up with Diaz and he had to clear the ball. He couldn’t go much forward in the game.

Dawson was caught by Liverpool’s quick transitions as he failed to track the inside runs. He made some headed clearances to aid his team.

He lost his duels with Liverpool forwards as they were constantly creating a chance after chance. However he did make some interceptions and clearances.

He was impressive in first half as he made good tackles and recoveries. He had a very good chance of scoring in second half from inside the box but he hit over the bar.

He couldn’t stop Liverpool’s brilliant build-ups from the back and could not impact the game in the middle as he does most of the times.

He got into some good positions from the flank. He had a brilliant chance to score when he was one on one against Alisson but his effort was cleared off the line by Trent.
