Premier League: Manchester City vs West Ham player ratings as Manchester City outclassed West Ham at home to challenge Premier League pole position

In tough snowy conditions, at Etihad stadium Manchester City showed amazing composure and gameplay to outplay West Ham. Right from the 1st minute, City looked threatening and in multiple occasions they came close to score but Gundogan’s 33rd minute goal broke the deadlock. In the 2nd half also West Ham couldn’t find any solution to counter Guardiola’s tactics. In the 90th minute, substitute Fernandinho scored to secure 3 points for his team. In the injury minutes, Lanzini scored a long ranger to score the goal but it wasn’t enough to give points to West Ham.

Ederson Moraes (7/10): The Manchester City goalkeeper was not threatened by West Ham attack. He made an important save during the game and also had 95% passing accuracy.
Joao Cancelo (7/10): Outstanding performance by Cancelo at right back position for Manchester City. He made some amazing important passes and made some key interceptions.
Aymeric Laporte (7/10): At center back position, Laporte showed some amazing movements through Rice and Soucek. He also made some clearances.
Ruben Dias (7/10): Dias displayed an impactful performance in coordination with Laporte. With 93% passing accuracy, he dented West Ham attacking chances.
Kyler Walker (7/10): Walker was outstanding at right back position for Manchester City. He was constantly tracking the movement of Antonio and also in attacking build up he had 89% passing accuracy.
Bernardo Silva (7/10): Both on and off the ball Silva looked brilliant with his positions. He was also involved in some good attacking build up with Mahrez and Sterling.
Rodri Hernandez (7/10): A very strong performance from Rodri at midfield. He was all over the field and had amazing passing accuracy of 95% in the midfield.
Ikay Gundogan (9/10): He scored an amazing goal in the 1st half and also dictated the ball possession with 98% passing accuracy and provided some great through balls to Mahrez and Jesus.
Rahim Sterling (7/10): Sterling started the game after a long time and he made his impact straight away with his amazing runs past Johnson and Dawson. Also his passing accuracy of 84% helped Manchester City retain possession in the game
Riyad Mahrez (7/10): In the entire game, he was outstanding with 93% passing accuracy and he was close to score a goal in the 1st half but denied due to offside.
Gabriel Jesus (7/10): Jesus looked very sharp with his positions and passes. He had 4 shots on goal and had 81% passing accuracy.
Substitutes
Fernandinho (8/10): He came in from bench in final minutes of the game and showed his impact immediately by scoring 2nd goal for Manchester City in 90th minute.
West Ham
Lukasz Fabianski (7/10): Similar to Ederson, Fabianski also looked very agile and great with his saves. He made 5 saves but failed to save Gundogan’s goal.
Aaron Cresswell (6/10): Cresswell was great with his passing and was able to hold City attackers initially. But high level pressing by Mahrez, Gundogan made him panic in some occasions.
Kurt Zouma (7/10): He was sharp on and off the ball at defense. He was involved in some build ups for West Ham in attacking build ups.
Craig Dawson (7/10): Dawson was very good with ball possession and on multiple occasions, he made some amazing clearances and interceptions.
Benjamin Johnson (6/10): Johnson was sloppy in possession and was hardly able to retain the ball. He had 68% passing accuracy.
Declan Rice (7/10): The midfielder was excellent with ball possession and passes. He had good build up with Benrahma and Soucek and also had 97% passing accuracy.
Tomas Soucek (6/10): Soucek looked good in patches and lost possession in multiple situations. He was troubled on multiple occasions by Walker and Dias.
Arthur Masuaku (6/10): Arthur was struggling with passing right from the start of the game and he was often intercepted by City defenders easily. But in defensive build up, Arthur showed great skills in clearing balls and created problems to Sterling and Mahrez.
Said Benrahma (7/10): Similar to Rice, Benraham also created some amazing passes and chances in the midfield for West Ham.
Pablo Fornals (7/10): Fornals was great with his penetrative 88% passing accuracy and on multiple occasions forwarded ball to Antonio at good positions.
Michail Antonio (6/10): Antonio didn’t look good with his shots and positioning. With 62% passing accuracy, he was unable to penetrate City defenders.
Substitutes
Manuel Lanzini (7/10): Lanzini replaced Benrahma and showed an impressive performance in 2nd half. He scored an amazing long ranger goal to score in final minutes.
Vladimir Coufal (7/10): Coufal was brought in as a tactical move by Moyes to provide pace and intact defense and he did exceedingly well. He made outstanding clearances and interceptions to contain Mahrez, Sterling and Jesus.
Jarrod Bowen (7/10): At right wing, in the 2nd half, he made some fast movements passed Walker and Cancelo and he threatened to creating scoring options for West Ham.
