Premier League: Newcastle vs Brighton Player Ratings as Newcastle get a narrow 2-1 win
Newcastle vs Brighton: Newcastle squared off against Brighton at the St. James Park in Matchday 26 of the ongoing edition of the Premier League.
Two very early goals in the opening 13 mins by Ryan Fraser and Fabian Schär saw Newcastle take a 2-0 lead in the match and were in a very comfortable position. The first half ended with the same scoreline but Brighton had more of the possession.
In the 2nd half, Brighton went all in and in the 55th, they were able to pull one back courtesy of the captain Lewis Dunk. They pushed for the equalizer but could not get that. Newcastle held on to the lead and ultimately they won with the scoreline of 2-1.

Martin Dúbravka (6.3/10): The goalkeeper did not have too much to do in 1st half apart from some simple saves. However, he was scored passed once in the 2nd half.
Dan Burn (6.5/10): The English defender was really solid in the defence making some good blocks and interceptions and made good forward passes.
Fabian Schär (7.4/10): The Swiss centre-back had fantastic game tonight defensively and also offensively as he was able to score the 2nd goal for Newcastle.
Matt Targett (6.5/10): The left-back made some good runs and also carried the ball well into the opponent half and made good passes as well.
Emil Krafth (6.410): The Swedish right-back had a similar performance as he was able to carry the ball well and make good combinations with others.
Jonjo Shelvey (6.6/10): The midfielder was calm on the ball and had a decent performance controlling the tempo in the midfield.
Joelinton (6.6/10): The Brazilian midfielder was good on the ball and also made few good interceptions. Overall, had a pretty decent performance.
Joe Willock (6.6/10): The midfielder had an effective performance tonight as he made a few good passes and also was able to carry the ball.
Chris Wood (6.4/10): The striker could not do much tonight apart from some passes and making a few runs.
Ryan Fraser (8/10): The Scottish winger had an amazing game tonight scoring one goal and assisting another for Newcastle. He was also good on the ball.
Jacob Murphy (6.6/10): The winger made some good runs both with and without the ball and made some good passes a swell.

Robert Sánchez (6/10): The Spanish goalkeeper did not have a very comfortable game tonight as he was scored passed twice in very short period. He did however, made a few saves.
Lewis Dunk (7/10): The English centre-back had a solid performance tonight making good blocks and stops. He also scored the only goal for Brighton.
Shane Duffy (6.5/10): The Irish defender was fairly solid in the defence even though he let two goals in. He also got a few opportunities to score.
Joël Veltman (6.6/10): The Dutch defender had a defensively solid performance making blocks and interceptions. He also made a few progressive passes.
Pascal Groß (6.8/10): The German midfielder had a good game tonight providing good passes and making interceptions. He also provided the assist for the goal.
Jakub Moder (6.3/10): The Polish midfielder could have done a bit more to make decisive passes but did make a few good passes.
Steven Alzate (6.3/10): The midfielder had a decent performance in the midfield making good passes and carrying the ball well.
Marc Cucurella (6.4/10): The Spaniard did well to make combinations and made some good runs in to attacking areas.
Tariq Lamptey (6.3/10): The right wing-back also hada bit similar performance making some runs and making combinations to build up.
Leandro Trossard (6.2/10): The Belgian winger could not do much in attack but he was able to make a few good passes and some shots at the goal.
Danny Welbeck (6.2/10): The English forward had a some satisfactory performance making some runs into the box and a few good passes.

Solly March (5.5/10): He made a few good passes and helped the team to build up again and again after coming on as a sub.
Neal Maupay (5/10): He tried to create some things and tried to shoot at goal but could not do much to score.
