Premier League: Norwich City vs Manchester City Player Ratings as Manchester City Destroy Norwich City 4-0

Norwich City vs Manchester City: Manchester City make a trip to Carrow Road to face Norwich City on Matchday 25 of the Premier League.

Norwich played pretty well in the first half but Manchester City were the ones who got the lead. Max Aarons failed to clear Walker’s cross from the right flank which fell into Sterling’s feet. Sterling cut in and deposited the ball into the far corner beating Gunn comfortably.

The second half started with Manchester’s second goal, squeezed in by Foden from inside the 6-yard box. The third goal was a simple tap-in the header for Raheem Sterling. Manchester finished their onslaught as Sterling completed his hat trick after a penalty was awarded for a foul on Delap.

Norwich City

Angus Gunn (5.2/10): Gunn was barraged with shots on target. Though he managed to save some, he let 4 goals in.

Max Aarons (6.3/10): Aarons had a decent game apart from clearance bunder which led to Sterling’s goal.

Grant Hanley (6.5/10): Hanley had a header hit the post from a corner which would have given Norwich the lead. He put his body on the line and defended well.

Ben Gibson (5.5/10): Gibson committed a foul which resulted in a penalty for Manchester.

Brandon Williams (5.7/10): The left-back had a game to forget as Mahrez was all over him.

Pierre Lees-Melou (6.1/10): Lees-Melou went relatively unnoticed in the match and was subbed off in the 63rd minute.

Billy Gilmour (7/10): The midfielder was accurate in passing and contributed with defensive duties as well.

Kenny McLean (6.1/10): McLean did not have a lot of possession and could not establish his presence in the match.

Joshua Sargent (6/10): The right-wing looked ineffective throughout the match and was eventually subbed off.

Teemu Pukki (5.8/10): Pukki had very little of the ball and just one shot on target.

Milot Rashica (6.9/10): Rashica was one of Norwich’s better players. He made a good run forcing a yellow card foul from Dias.

Substitutes:

Sam Byram (6.2/10): Coming in for Aarons, Byram defended well in the latter stages of the game.

Mathias Normann (6.1/10): Normann was not effective and had an average game.

Ederson (6.8/10): Ederson had nothing much to do as there were hardly any good shots on target.

Kyle Walker (8.2/10): The right-back was flamboyant on the flank and delivered an assist to Sterling. He did not get dribbled past and defended extremely well.

Ruben Dias (7.8/10): Apart from the yellow card challenge in the first half, Dias was positionally good and defensively great. He assisted Sterling’s second goal from a corner.

Nathan Ake (7.9/10): Replacing Laporte, Ake had an exceptional game at the back. He marked the attackers well and kept a well-deserved clean sheet.

Oleksandr Zinchenko (7.1/10): Like Walker, Zinchenko lobbed many balls into the box from the left flank.

Ilkay Gundogan (7.8/10): Gundogan had a really good game. His passing was accurate and crisp, always finding the intended player.

Fernandinho (7.3/10): Man City skipper orchestrated the midfield and distributed the ball perfectly. He was defensively good as well.

Bernardo Silva (7.5/10): Silva was at his usual best, putting crosses into the box and being actively involved in the attacks.

Riyad Mahrez (7.7/10): Mahrez looked potent on the right flank, cutting in to unleash his strong left foot.

Phil Foden (8/10): Foden scored Manchester’s 2nd goal using good skills and placement into the net which just about went in.

Raheem Sterling (9.3/10):  Sterling scored a hat trick and won the man of the match award. The first goal was an exceptional curler into the far corner, the second was a simple tap in the header and the third was a penalty rebound converted.

Substitutes:

James McAtee (6/10): McAtee did not have any direct impact and had a decent game.
