Southampton last played Newcastle United in a thrilling final seconds draw. The first half was a rather silent one with the teams still trying to find the rhythm to attack. However, the storm struck in the second half where Callum Wilson scored the opening goal for Newcastle which was met with an equaliser by Southampton’s Mohamed Elyounoussi. As the match headed into added time, Newcastle struck again courtesy of a brilliant goal by Allan Saint-Maximin. However, luck favoured Southampton as they were granted a penalty, seconds before the final whistle. Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse made no mistakes as he equalised it and the points were shared between the two teams.

On the other hand, West Ham last played Crystal Palace which ended in a rather disappointing draw. Crystal Palace was excellent with keeping possession with their side but West Ham took the lead in the match courtesy of a fantastic goal by Pablo Fornals. To keep Crystal Palace in the match, Conor Gallagher scored a much-needed equaliser which was later met with a thrilling finish in the back of the net by Michail Antonio to bring back the lead to West Ham.

Conor Gallagher proved his worth yet again as he gave a smashing reply two minutes after West Ham took the lead to equalise it at 2-2. In the end, the match ended in a draw with the points being shared.
