The match began with both the teams running aggressively behind the ball in order to keep possession. In attempts to get steer the ball away from their respective boxes, Wolves committed a penalty which was converted into an easy goal for the Bees by Ivan Toney. Wolves

José Sá (GK) (6.1/10) : Not the best performances by José as he barely made good saves. He did have a decent save from inside the box but conceded two goals.

Max Kilman (6/10) : Kilman performed poorly and he failed on winning any kind of ground or Ariel battles. He seemed to struggle holding the ball and lost possession one too many times.

Conor Coady (6.8/10) : The Wolves captain stood out from other players in defence as he made three good clearences and won three tackle battles. However, he was too poor at ariel duels against the Bees.

Romain Saïss (6.4/10) : Just the first half then for Romain. He did do a decent job at defending the goal but when he got an opportunity for goal, he was way off target.

Nélson Semedo (6.7/10) : A job well done on the wing indeed by Semedo as he was excellent with his neat passing. He won ground and ariel challenges and while making a run inside the box, he got his shots blocked in order to create an opportunity.

Rúben Neves (6.7/10) : Neves has contributed well to the midfield. He’s been moving the ball well to create goal scoring chances and in that process he has lost possession on 19 occasions. He also took a shot at goal but went off target.

João Moutinho (6.7/10) : Moutinho was seen to be running around the ball and almost covered the entire ground making sure his team had the possession in their favour.

Fernando Marçal (6.4/10) : Fernando was Invincible at Ariel duels and won the ball like no other. He did good with ground battles as well but he lost possesion on as many as 14 occasions. He also had two shots at goal both both off target.

Francisco Trincão (6.6/10) : Francisco missed a huge opportunity at goal which could’ve been beneficial for the Wolves. However, he had two opportunities in total but failed to be on target on both occasions.

Raúl Jiménez (6.7/10) : The forward found it very difficult to win ground and ariel duels as he lost almost each and every attempt he came across. Apart from an off target attempt, Raúl had a decent game.

Adama Traoré (7.4/10) : The super fit forward of the Wolves challenged the bees midfield on as many as 17 occasions and won 11 of those ground duels. He took an off target attempt at goal and overall did a commendable job. However, he couldn’t get the Wolves over the line.

Pontus Jansson (7/10) : The captain lead the team from the front in the defence department. He made valuable clearances and interceptions to steer the ball away while he also won the ground or ariel duels that came his way.

Ethan Pinnock (6.8/10) : Ethan looked quite determined on the field as he kept going aggressively at the ball to steer it away from the Bees’ box. He kept going for ariel or ground challenges in order to win possession. A confident Ethan was witnessed today in the game.

Sergi Canos (7.1/10) : Canos delivered the ball whenever the team needed it the most. His ground duel challenges were worth witnessing. He did lose possession on as many as 20 occasions but redeemed himself at desperate situations.

Christian Nørgaard (7/10) : Christian certainly took the responsibility on his shoulders when it came to winning interceptions and tackles. He handled the midfield singlehanded. He made good long balls while also winning several ground duels. He barely lost possession.

Vitaly Janelt (6.7/10) : Apart from passing the ball around quite effectively, Vitaly made some really good tackles and won them in style. He missed a huge opportunity at goal which could’ve turned the tables in a much stronger way towards the Bees.

Rico Henry (6.1/10) : Rico seemed to be lacking confidence right from the get go. He lost the ball on one too many occasions while also failing to win any sort of challenges.

Bryan Mbeumo (7.1/10) : Mbeumo seemed to be pretty good with his pace and he doubled the lead for the Bees by converting Toney’s assist into a remarkable finish in the back of the net. He had another shy at goal but was off target on that occasion.

Ivan Toney (8.6/10) : A remarkable performance by the striker in today’s game against Wolves. He won a penalty challenge in the 28th minute and converted into a fantastic finish. Zanka (6.6/10) : Walking in as a substitute in the 82nd minute didn’t provide too many opportunities for Zanka. Although, he did contribute well making two good clearences.

Mads Roerslev Rasmussen (6.6/10) : Rasmussen replaced Rico Henry to make his way out in the centre. He did seem confident when he went for the tackles and won them. He did win a couple of ground duels but didn’t impact the game in any way.

Frank Onyeka (6.5/10) : Frank got one of his shots blocked in the box by the Wolves’ defence but apart from that, he didn’t contribute in a huge way to the Bees as they were already in a strong position.
