Aleksandar Vucic welcomed Novak Djokovic as he honored all Serbian athletes who competed at the Paris Olympics.

Novak Djokovic continues to be celebrated for his historic achievement at the Paris Olympics, where he won Serbia’s first-ever gold medal in tennis, significantly contributing to the country’s Olympic success.
All year, Djokovic was desperate to win a medal for his country. In the previous editions of Summer Games, he only managed to win a bronze, but this year, he believed that he could win gold for his country. Despite injury and form concerns, Djokovic moved along to beat some of the best in the game to win his most prized achievement thus far.
After a week of fighting hard, Djokovic finally took down Carlos Alcaraz 7-6 (3),7-6 (2). With that, he won his first tournament for the year, and an all-important gold for his country. Recently, the president of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic honored all the athletes from Serbia and especially welcomed Djokovic.
It was a special moment for Djokovic, who got called up by his country’s president. Vucic shook hands with and embraced Nole for his incredible achievement. The two exchanged a few words before Djokovic joined the others. Alongside the tennis great, his fellow Serbian athletes were also honored at the event.

Serbia finished 27th overall with three gold medals, one silver, and one bronze. It was a significant gesture by the President to acknowledge the athletes’ hard work and dedication in winning medals for their country.
Serbia to build a museum for Novak Djokovic after Nole’s Paris Olympic win
Novak Djokovic fought a tough battle against Carlos Alcaraz in the final of the 2024 Paris Olympics to emerge victorious and win a gold medal for Serbia. Despite having lost to the same opponent a couple of weeks back at the Championships, Djoker played some of his best tennis to beat the Spaniard.
The streets of Belgrade celebrated the success of their greatest tennis player, and the nation showed its gratitude by honoring him in every way possible. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic recently announced plans for constructing the Novak Djokovic Museum in Serbia.

The President also referred to this in comparison to Rafael Nadal. The Spanish maestro got a museum built in his name in Mallorca, his home place. Referring to that, the Serbian President revealed that Djokovic should also be acknowledged the same way such that it is a tourist attraction as well.
