What is the prize money for the 2025 Abu Dhabi Open?
The Abu Dhabi Open, which is set to start on February 3, is the first tournament of the 2025 season of the Middle East Swing.

The Middle East Swing kicked started on February 1 when the qualifiers of the 2025 Abu Dhabi Open were held at Zayed Sports City International Tennis Centre. The main draw of the WTA 500 event is scheduled to start on Monday (February 3), while the singles final is on February 8.
The Abu Dhabi Open is the fourth WTA 500 event of the season, following the Brisbane International, Adelaide International, and Linz Open. The tournament was first held in 2021 and was won by current World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka.
World No.5 Elena Rybakina, who is searching for her first title of the season, is the defending champion. Last year, the Kazakh ace defeated Russia’s Daria Kasatkina to win the title. ‘
Kasatkina is also returning to the tournament. 2025 Australian Open semifinalist and former World No.2 Paula Badosa also arrived in Abu Dhabi, and so has three-time Grand Slam finalist Ons Jabeur. The Tunisian is searching for her first title since 2023.
Apart from 2022 Wimbledon champion Rybakina, Grand Slam singles winners Jelena Ostapenko, Emma Raducanu, and Marketa Vondrousova will also be participating. The tournament was not held in 2022, but the following year, Belinda Bencic emerged as champion.
Prize money for the 2025 Abu Dhabi Open
For the 2025 season, the total prize pool for the Abu Dhabi Open is $1,064,510, which is 15.38% more than last year’s. The winner’s prize money of $164,000 is more than what Elena Rybakina had pocketed last year.

Players in the first round will get one point, while those who will be qualifying for the fourth round will receive 60 points. The quarterfinalists and semifinalists will get 108 and 195 points, respectively. The finalist will get 325 points, while the champion will be awarded with 500 points.
Following the Abu Dhabi Open, the players will shift their focus to the two WTA 1000 events, the Qatar Open in Doha and the Dubai Tennis Championships. Aryna Sabalenka, World No.2 Iga Swiatek, and World No.3 Coco Gauff have not signed up Abu Dhabi Open.
But they will be back at the Qatar Open, the first WTA 1000 event of the season, which starts on Friday 9. The Pole is a three-time defending champion in the tournament. Madison Keys, after upsetting Sabalenka in the Australian Open final, will not be playing the Abu Dhabi Open and the Qatar Open as a hamstring problem, forced her to withdraw.
