PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) Season 2 is all set to commence from October 5,2021. The tournament will be conducted under a span of four weeks eventually concluding on 31st October. This article discusses the teams that are set to participate in PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) Season 2 North America, the format of the tournament and more.
Tencent’s PUBG Mobile conducts professional tournaments for different regions every year in order to kickstart the growth of eSports in various countries. Just like other pro leagues, the tournament will be conducted in two stages- League Stage and Finals to decide the ultimate champion who will walk away with the winner’s prize.
North America’s top PUBG Mobile teams are set to participate in this prestigious tournament. A total of 20 teams, out of which 12 teams have been directly invited from the first season of PMPL North America. The remaining teams have qualified from PMCO: North America.

Tournament Format

The tournament will be played in 2 stages i.e. League Stage and the Finals. The league stage will be played on weekdays i.e., Tuesday and Wednesday. These 20 teams will be battling it out for the spot at Super Weekends conducted on Friday and Saturday. 16 teams will be able to qualify for the super weekend and only the points of super weekend will be counted for the Final stage.
The 16 teams with the most points after three super weekends will advance to the finals which are scheduled to be held from October 29 to October 31.
Prize Pool

PUBG Mobile Pro League North America features a massive prize pool of $150,000 USD. Each team participating in the league stage will be given $2,500 USD . The champion of the tournament will be given a lion’s share of the prize pool i.e. $10,000 USD. The MVP and the teams winning a chicken dinner in Super Weekend will be given $1,000 USD each.

The tournament will be live-streamed on the official Youtube/Facebook and Twitch channels of PUBG Mobile Esports. Players can catch the action from 5th October at 7PM EST. The points earned at this tournament will be crucial as the top performing teams will be participating in PMGC 2021.
