PUBG New State vs Free Fire Max
PUBG New State vs Free Fire Max are the two most anticipated battle-royale titles in the mobile gaming industry. Both these games are the sequels of an original game that became a huge hit ever since they were launched. PUBG and Free Fire are considered as the battle-royale rivals and are competing head to head over the recent years.
PUBG New State is the latest venture of PUBG Mobile created by Krafton Inc. which is set to take to the battle royal experience of the players beyond their imagination. Just like PUBG New State, Garena aims to create a revamped version of Free Fire by launching Free Fire Max. The modified versions of both the games promises to bring never-seen before features as well as high-end graphics for the players in order to set a different level for mobile gaming.
PUBG New State vs Free Fire Max: Similarities
Pre-registration Phase
Both of these mobile games are in its pre-registration phase and also offering rewards to the players who are pre-registering. PUBG New State has recently started the pre-registrations for India after starting pre-registrations globally, however, Garena Free Fire Max had started pre-registrations globally including India at the very beginning. Both these games are expected to release later this year.
Gameplay
PUBG New State and Free Fire Max have similar gameplay modes just like their previous ventures i.e. PUBG Mobile and Free Fire. Both these games have battle-royale as the central gameplay mode where players land on different maps, eliminate other players to ensure their survival till the end and eventually win the ‘Chicken Dinner’ or’BOOYAH’!
Announcement of mobile versions only
The original PUBG: Battlegrounds is available on PC and later the mobile versions were released. However, PUBG New State is only announced for Android and iOS versions only. Free Fire Max too is only announced for mobile, both Android and iOS. It is unclear whether the makers will later release the PC version of both these games.

- RAM -2GB at minimum
In-game lobby
The in-game lobby of both these games vary greatly. Free Fire Max has brought a 3-D lobby for the players with the character standing at the centre, players can swipe their skins to access the inventory and also see their vehicle skins. The in-game lobby of PUBG New State does not have any major changes compared to PUBG Mobile.
Graphics
The main attraction of both these games will be the high-end graphics that the developers aim to bring. Both these games promise to prove Ultra HD+ graphics for the players. Free Fire Max has greatly enhanced the original graphics, however, the graphics of PUBG New State feel more realistic while playing. Varied animations in PUBG New State like shooting towards the enemies, sprinting are quite better than FF Max.
Cross-Platform System
Free Fire Max has a cross platform system which means players who played Free Fire can transfer their in-game data in Free Fire Max. PUBG New State does not provide this option which means players have to create new accounts and start from the beginning to increase their tier points.
These are some noteworthy differences of PUBG New State vs Free Fire Max. Both these games are generating high expectations from the players and it will be interesting to see which game takes the mobile gaming platform by storm.
