Los Angeles Rams star Puka Nacua is hailed as someone who deserves all the praise after elevating himself from being just a fifth-round pick to becoming one of the best wide receivers in the league.

His competitive fire is something that his always-on smile does not indicate, and the Las Vegas native has used that to become elusive and successful even when facing the opposing team’s best defensive backs.

That smile, though, has been flickering off late, with the 24-year-old seeing his name in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. From blaming the Chiefs’ luck on Taylor Swift to trying unsuccessfully to date Sydney Sweeney.

But other than those seemingly ‘harmless’ instances, Puka Pacua has also faced the wrath of fans when his brother was involved in the ‘theft’ of an NBA rookie’s SUV.

However, the worst he faced was when he re-enacted an anti-semitic celebration on Adin Ross‘ live stream. The latter defended the Rams’ wideout, which did help to calm the storm.

But when fans felt that it was the end of it, TMZ dropped a bombshell earlier, revealing that the BYU star is facing allegations of ‘biting’ a woman on her shoulder deep enough to ‘tear her skin.’

The unnamed woman, with whom Nacua was celebrating New Year’s in a group outing in Century City, also claimed that the pass catcher yelled an anti-Semitic insult during dinner.

This has been quite the year for Puka Nacua, and he has become known for his off-the-field antics rather than the exceptional year he had playing for the Los Angeles Rams.

Puka Nacua‘s lawyers have stated that the claims of his anti-Semitic remark are made up. They also claim that this woman came out with these allegations as she has been demanding millions in compensation.

However, fans noted that the lawyer did not dismiss the ‘biting’ allegations. Along with the negotiations they have been having for a while, fans believe this incident did happen.

Puka Nacua is up next for a record contract

Puka Nacua has already surpassed his rookie contract, which pays him an average of $1 million. That is set to multiply in double digits as his performances prove he deserves a lot more.

The Seattle Seahawks just paid Jaxon Smith-Njigba a record-setting contract extension that would pay him $42.15 million on average. Even his $120 million guaranteed is a record for a wide receiver.

Usually, after such market-resetting news drop, the next team faces pressure to either match or, in most cases, exceed what has been paid to the last best WR.

That means Puka Nacua is supposed to surpass that. However, with rumors of them still working towards a trade for AJ Brown, and the former’s string of off-field problems, maybe the Rams could be thinking of alternatives.
