LeBron James is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the sports world with a long and illustrious basketball career. The four-time NBA champion started his career in 2003, playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, and now continues to rule the court playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.

James’ career and life are a role model for many youngsters nationwide. The Ohio-native has scooped up the hearts of millions, and the Los Angeles Rams wideout Puka Nacua is one among them. The third-year WR is someone who one would call a hardcore fan.

Recently, Nacua expressed a weird take that has raised some eyebrows. In a chat with a reporter, Nacua claimed that he would hang out with LeBron James for a whole week over winning the championship. The young controversial player also gave a detailed plan of action for this small get-together with James, and even his son, Bronny James, is involved.

Oh wait, I have to win the Super Bowl, but I love LeBron James. Oh my gosh, we could do so many things. We could pass it to Bronny—best week of my life. I’m rebounding for LeBron. We’re hopping in the sauna.

Puca Nacua admitted

Nacua also did his impersonation of LeBron James’ ‘Taco Tuesday’ moment which went viral for all the right reasons.

In February, the two had met up, and Nacua shared his thoughts of the day in an interaction with ESPN. Nacua had visited the Lakers camp, where he met James as well as several of the other high-profile players on the roster. He claimed that it was the most nervous moment of his life, and he skipped sleep that night because of the unbelievable factor, for him, which took place that day.

Puka Nacua has many expectations as one of the best wideouts for the NFL season

Puka Nacua, Rams’ third-year wide receiver, registered multiple rookie records when he took the NFL field for the first time in 2023. He registered the record for the most receiving yards by a rookie, catching for 1,486 yards. In their game against the San Francisco 49ers, Nacua caught 15 passes for 147 yards in a 30–23 loss, which was a rookie record for most receptions in a single game.

In his first two games, he recorded 25 receptions, which surpassed a 43-year-old record by Earl Cooper for most across two games. He also became the first NFL wide receiver to record 10 receptions and 100 receiving yards in their first two games. Nacua, however, couldn’t match his performance from his rookie year in the successive season.

Nevertheless, he has full trust from his coaching personnel, especially OC Mike LaFleur, going into the next year.

I think it’s just a continuation of what I said earlier. I just think he looks sharper in what he’s doing. One of his superpowers has been his hands. He attacks it so much sometimes when he doesn’t need to on some of these screens and stuff that we have to pull him back. It’s part of what he does. He sees ball, he goes and gets the ball.

Mike LaFleur stated

However, the OC did note that there’s some fine-tuning regarding Nacua. Nevertheless, he claimed that these are easy fixes, like creating a rapport with the quarterbacks and being in perfect mental and physical form.
