‘Pulev will corner him and pummel him’ – Bob Arum picks his winner for the Joshua-Pulev fight

Top Rank Boxing and Tyson Fury’s legendary promoter Bob Arum believes that Kubrat Pulev will knock out Anthony Joshua, come Saturday, when the Brit defends his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles against the Bulgarian ‘Cobra’.

Both the heavyweights have just lost once in their professional career, with Anthony Joshua’s loss coming as recently as last year, to Andy Ruiz Jr and Kubrat’s coming way back in 2014, to Wladimir Klitschko. While Anthony recovered from ‘that’ loss by managing to beat Andy Ruiz in the rematch, Kubrat made a strong comeback, winning all of his next eight fights.

Speaking of this, in an interview with iFL TV, Bob Arum was so confident when he picked Pulev to knock Anthony Joshua out.

“I think, Joshua’s chin is suspect” – Bob Arum

Bob Arum was quoted as saying, “Well, I really think that Joshua does an ‘Andy Ruiz’. The re-match. Runs around, my guy will corner him and pummel him. If Joshua fights Pulev, I like my guy’s chances. I think, Joshua’s chin is suspect, I think Pulev knocks him out.”

Arum also reminded the boxing fans to not miss the Pulev-Joshua fight, adding that the fans will be amazed at how Kubrat Pulev manhandles Anthony Joshua.

Anthony Joshua looks like he has learnt a lot since ‘that’ loss to Andy Ruiz Jr. in New York. Although he didn’t look very convincing in the rematch, where he won by unanimous decision, ‘AJ‘ has put in the hard yards coming into the Kubrat fight. On the other hand, Kubrat will be wary of the threat Joshua possesses. The aging Bulgarian, will be backing his brutal knockout power to overcome the towering ‘AJ‘.
