First Quarter
Defending champion and top seed Carlos Alcaraz has been placed in the first quarter and will open his campaign against Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo. The Spaniard is coming off a title-winning campaign at 2024 Roland Garros and will be high on confidence and thus, is expected to sail through to the second round.
Alcaraz might face local man Jack Draper in the second round and it is expected to be no hustle for the Spaniard to reach the quarterfinals from there. The second seeded player in the quarter, Tommy Paul will play Sebastian Baez in the first round and the American is expected to win the match. He then might face Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the second round.
Paul, being the experienced campaigner will have the edge over his Spanish opponent. The American then will meet Alcaraz in the quarterfinals.
Quarterfinals prediction: Carlos Alcaraz vs Tommy Paul
Second Quarter
The second quarter has some big names. Grigor Dimitrov and Ugo Humbert are the two seeded players in the quarter while Frances Tiafoe, Sebastian Korda, and Karen Khachanov are other notable names. While Dimitrov plays Adrian Mannarino in the first round, Humbert will open his campaign against Matteo Arnaldi.
Meanwhile, Korda and Khachanov will be up against each other in the first round. The Russian player might pip Korda to set up a second-round match against Dimitrov.
