A video of Shedeur Sanders behaving in an erratic manner with a ballboy has surfaced weeks ahead of the NFL Draft.

The NFL Draft is fast approaching, it is an anxious time for most players but the top prospects at quarterback in the Class of 25′, Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders remain carefree. Considering the shortage of quality players at QB in the draft, the two are bound to be drafted high and Sanders is a particularly confident young man.
However, his confidence has begun to rub fans off as arrogance, a word seldom used to describe him. His recent decision to abstain from practicing at the East-West Shrine Bowl and now to give interviews and skip throwing at the NFL Combine are raising eyebrows.
For the longest time, Deion Sanders has been credited for raising his sons as true sportsmen and above that, for instilling a humble attitude in them despite them carrying their father’s legendary name.
Shedeur Sanders’ confidence can often be easily misinterpreted as arrogance or disrespect. The quarterback is fearless when it comes to calling out trolls or even veteran NFL players. When Cam Newton expressed his reservations regarding Sanders, the quarterback refused to pretend like all was well between them when they met for the first time after he had made his statement. But that is just Shedeur.
As the limelight on Shedeur Sanders shines brighter, an incident in the recent past has come to light. The incident took place during the Colorado Buffaloes matchup against Texas Tech on November 9, 2024. The Buffaloes went on to beat the Red Raiders 41-21. However, the incident happened during the fourth quarter as Shedeur got into an altercation with a ball boy.
Shedeur Sanders was close to escalating a situation with a ballboy
After Shilo Sanders scored a 6-yard touchdown on a fumble recovery, his brothers Shedeur and Deion Sanders Jr. ran onto the field to celebrate his score. However, as Shilo was walking back in a jovial mood with the ball in his hands, the ball boy attempted to swat the football out of his hands and take it back. This did not sit well with Shedeur who immediately stepped into his face and said,
Hoe a** n***a. Shut up. You a hoe.
Shedeur Sanders said to the ballboy

After Shedeur was about to escalate the situation, his brother Deion Sanders Jr. entered the altercation and shoved the ballboy while lashing out at him. This interaction does not leave a positive impression of Sanders on the viewers, which is why his behavior is concerning. He is a good quarterback but incidents like this make one wonder if all the success has impacted his attitude and not for the better.
This is one of the most alarming things I’ve seen Shedeur Sanders do.

He got into a verbal confrontation with a ball boy.
…a ball boy.
The name and age of the ball boy was not made public from my research and only two publications actually published Sanders partially… https://t.co/hg8d3Euqfx
Despite the criticism, his actions are justifiable. Context matters and in this instance, it was the heat of the moment. During games, players tend to be aggressive and in this context, the ball boy could have asked for the ball rather than slapping it out of Sanders’ hands.
As far as the criticism concerning Shedeur’s decision to not throw at the combine, he can attribute it to his confidence in his skills. Most top prospects tend to sit out combine evaluations. The quarterback wants to give other prospects who may not have enough film an opportunity to showcase their skills.
