There is no doubt in saying that R-Truth is a certified WWE legend. Even though he didn’t win many championships, his silly actions have never failed to make fans laugh out loud. He has even made some of the toughest superstars laugh, including Brock Lesnar.
In an interview with Steve Fall of Ten Count Media, the 52-year-old veteran was asked if making other superstars laugh on national TV had always been his goal. R-Truth stated that it is never in his mind when he goes out to perform; it all happens organically. However, there was only one occasion where he intentionally tried to make Brock Lesnar laugh.
He further revealed that Lesnar’s advocate, Paul Heyman, made a bet with someone, and tasked the veteran with making The Beast laugh. Although Truth stated the person he made the bet with was unknown, he just got a wager to do it.
When they met in a ring ahead of the Royal Rumble in 2020, the former 24/7 Champion vowed to throw Heyman out of the top rope. However, the funny thing was that the Hall of Famer wasn’t even in the match, but his confused reaction was enough to put a huge smile on Lesnar’s face.
I don't try to do it. It's one of those things that come organically and whoever I'm on TV, it's an organic feel. Brock Lesnar was the only one. Paul [Heyman] in the back, me, him made the bet, and he's like we made a bet. I don't know who he made the bet with, but I got a wager. I need you to make Brock laugh, but I don't try to do it. It just happens.R-Truth via Ten Count Media
Truth recently became the World Tag Team champion with The Miz at WrestleMania XL. They even successfully defended their titles against the #DIY on the last week’s episode of Raw. It will be interesting to see who will be the next tag team in line to challenge Awesome Truth for the tag titles.
R-Truth expresses his opinions on The Rock attacking his childhood hero John Cena
The main event match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL was special for so many reasons. One of them was because of an iconic confrontation between The Rock and John Cena, where The Final Boss floored the Cenation leader with a Rock Bottom. R-Truth shared his opinion about how he felt when Rocky attacked his childhood hero.
In the same interview, he was asked about his comments on the historic match. He hilariously stated that although The Great One did cross the line by attacking Cena, there was nothing he could do about it. Truth also showed his gratitude towards Cena for helping Awesome Truth out to fight Judgment Day on Raw after WrestleMania XL.
I still feel a certain way about that you know what I am saying? But The Rock is the Final Boss. It's a thin line between that. But I grew up watching John Cena. Not only that, he came as my guest to help me and Miz tag you know? I think The Rock stepped crossed the line a little bit. But he's the Final Boss, what can I say?R-Truth via Ten Count Fell
Truth hilariously decided to talk with The Miz and surprisingly, the Judgment Day about it. The 52-year-old veteran has always talked about how he watched the 16-time World Champion’s matches since he was young. However, this was a hilarious claim as he is five years older than Cena.
