Race of Champions: Disappointing run by Sebastian Vettel as three successive defeats knock out Germany

The Race of Champions (ROC) is an international motorsport event held at the end/start of each year, which features best drivers from Formula One, World Rally Championship, IndyCar, NASCAR, sportscars and touring cars championship battling it out for the ultimate glory, going head-to-head in identical car. 2022 edition is held on a frozen Baltic Sea in northern Sweden will be the first time that the event is held on a snow and ice track since the inaugural race in1988.
Sebastian Vettel teamed up with Fellow F1 racer Mick Schumacher representing German national team in this year’s championship. The Aston Martin driver lost the first heat of 2022 ROC to F1 e-sports racer, who finished p3 in 2021 championship, Lucas Blakeley by eight hundredths of a second.

Mick Schumacher led the German team to the win following Sebastian Vettel’s disappointing run, but the efforts short lived
Mick Schumacher, the son of F1 legend Michael Schumacher led the comeback team Germany as he won against Lucas Blakeley’s teammate Jarno Opmeer, the 2021 F1 e-sports champion. The eROC finalists gave a noteworthy performance but the sim racers fell short against the F1 duo.
The comeback was short lived though as the Germens were to face another disappointment as American IndyCar racers Colton Herta and Jimmie Johnson came out victorious. Sebastian Vettall was again on the losing side as he lost two heats first to Jimmie Johnson and the important last heat to Colton Herta, after Mick schumachers win against Hereta, making the way out of the championship as the Americans were on a “Californian Roll” in the words of ROC The racers will have another chance to bounce back in snowy Sweden as the individual races are to follow next on the schedule.
Sebastian Vettal and Mick Schumacher was joined by Mika Hakkinen and David Couthload as F1 faces for 2022. Mika Hakkinen was set to be joined by fellow Finn Valtteri Bottas but he backed down on the last-minute siting personal commitments. Team Finland led by Hakkinen remans the only F1 presence who will go against team USA in the Semi Finals.
