The Paris Olympics is around the corner, and in the tennis world, the biggest storyline is the doubles pairing of Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal. The two tennis titans will unite to attempt and bring an Olympic gold medal for Spain.

Given the high status of both players on the tour, it is normal for the duo to engage in some banter on the court. Nadal was practicing on Philippe-Chatrier Court, where he expressed amusement over the lack of accommodating conditions. After his practice, he argued with Alcaraz about potentially bringing his towels off the court.

I don't know if we should take towels from the locker room.
Rafael Nadal said (H/T: Clay)

The duo has been relaxed and having fun on and off the court. Earlier, Alcaraz shared a tweet on X, asking the fans to name their doubles pair. Many fans have suggested that they should be called ‘Nadalcaraz‘.

However, both Alcaraz and Nadal are on different sides of history at the Paris Olympics. Alcaraz is hoping to become the first player since the ‘King of Clay’ to win Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and the Olympic Singles Gold Medal in the same year. This will also be his first Olympic event.

On the other hand, Nadal is contesting his final Olympic games at his favorite event, Roland Garros, where he has won 14 Grand Slam titles. The left-hander has won two Olympic Gold medals in his career, one in singles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the second in doubles with Marc Lopez at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Alongside these two, Pablo Carreno Busta is another Spanish player who will be hoping to make his country proud. He won the bronze medal for the European giants at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, beating Novak Djokovic in the bronze medal match.
