The 22-time Grand Slam champion is happy to be partnering with Alcaraz and is confident about their chances. Nadal is not worried about Alcaraz who might be high on confidence having recently won two Grand Slam titles (French Open and Wimbledon) back-to-back.
I'm very excited to be part of the team of Olympic athletes and represent Spain...I know that if I manage to play good tennis at an individual level, I will also do so in doubles, but I must analyze well what happened this week and work hard. I'm convinced that Carlos Alcaraz will be at a high level because he comes with confidence. We will train together this week.Rafael Nadal said (H/T: Punto de Break)
Nadal has two gold medals at the Games. While he won the first one in singles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, he won the doubles gold at the 2016 Rio Olympics, where he partnered with Marc Lopez.
