Carlos Alcaraz is not dating anyone, or he perhaps has kept his dating life out of the public eye. But Rafael Nadal didn’t hold himself back from lifting a lid on Alcaraz’s personal life as he revealed to the world how Alcaraz spends his free time.
Nadal and Alcaraz participated in the Netflix Slam in Vegas in March last year for an exhibition match. Their time in Vegas was a part of Alcaraz’s new Netflix documentary, Carlos Alcaraz: My Way. Ahead of their match, Nadal pulled Alcaraz’s legs and the latter revealed what the 22-time Grand Slam champion told him.
He [Nadal] told me, ‘Damn, I saw you over there liking some Mallorcan girl’s photos’.
Carlos Alcaraz said
Nadal said, “You like all the girls’ photos.” Alcaraz didn’t deny the accusations at all.
He has told me that several times. I don’t do it as much as he says I do! But, well…at the end of the day, I think it’s part of life. Rafa, that moth*ker!
Carlos Alcaraz responded
Alcaraz has often been linked to Maria Gonzalez Gimenez, who like the 21-year-old, is from Murcia and reportedly plays tennis and represents Murcia Tennis Club. Neither of them have confirmed their relationship.
Alcaraz himself had added more fuel to the speculation when, during an interaction with a magician last year, when asked about his future wife’s name, the Spaniard’s answer was, “Maria“. The four-time Grand Slam champion, however, declared during an exhibition match with Alex de Minaur just before this year’s Australian Open that he was single.
Carlos Alcaraz’s mother doesn’t want her son to be called the next Rafael Nadal
Carlos Alcaraz liked being compared to Rafael Nadal when he was a newcomer on the ATP Tour. But as time progressed, Alcaraz understood the impact of such comparison.

He thinks being called an “heir to the Spanish throne” is unnecessary as he wants to be called Carlos Alcaraz Garcia rather than Nadal’s successor. Alcaraz’s mother Virginia Garfia Escandon too echoed similar sentiments.
People expect him to be like Rafa, to be a legend but he shouldn’t let other people invade that space. I don’t want my son to turn into a worn-out toy later on.
Virginia Garfia Escandon said in the Netflix docuseries
The 22-time Grand Slam champion, who hung up his racker at the Davis Cup last year, couldn’t agree more. He knows that constant comparison leads to unnecessary pressure and can affect the youngster in his daily life.
Carlos Alcaraz withdraws from the Madrid Open
Carlos Alcaraz Pulled out of the Madrid Open after suffering a hamstring injury. Alcaraz injured his right adductor muscle during the Barcelona Open final he lost to Holger Rune during which he also took a medical timeout in the second set. Later, medical tests revealed that he also injured his left hamstring.

Alcaraz missed the practice session before the tournament. There were speculations about his withdrawal and he confirmed the same in the pre-tournament press conference. He also blamed his lack of rest for the injury.
Alcaraz’s next plan is to play the Italian Open which he missed last season due to an injury. After Rome, Alcaraz will be gearing up for the French Open which he lifted for the first time in his career by beating Alexander Zverev in five sets.
Alcaraz, who is 24-5 on the season, so far has reached three finals, winning two titles: the Rotterdam Open and the Monte Carlo Masters. Both of these trophies he took home for the first time in his career. Last year, he was successful in four tournaments, including at Wimbledon and the French Open.
