Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal is in Paris and practicing hard for the 2024 Roland Garros. However, neither the player nor the support staff has yet confirmed his participation in the Grand Slam tournament. In fact, Nadal’s support staff has created confusion with their latest statement about his participation.

Nadal’s support staff says that the final decision has not been made yet. Despite the Spaniard hitting it well in the practice sessions and also beating Sebastian Korda in a practice set, the final nod has not been given. With the injury concern hovering around always, Nadal and the team are being cautious.

After the 37-year-old’s practice session against Korda, one of his support staff members said that the final decision is yet to be made. The statement was made to journalist Hugo Capelli of France TV.

Rafael Nadal will hope to keep his record intact in Paris, if he plays

Although the doubts about his participation in the 2024 Roland Garros remain, Rafael Nadal and his fans will be hoping for him to make it to the court where he has enjoyed enormous success. If the Spaniard plays, he will want to keep his record intact.

Also, four of Nadal’s 14 Roland-Garros titles have come without the loss of a set. That makes Nadal the only male player in the Open Era to have won more than three Grand Slam titles without dropping a single set. He didn’t drop a set in 2008, 2010, 2017 and 2020.
