Rafael Nadal in an Instagram post talked about the core values of his Tennis academy in Manacor. The academy offers the best of both worlds. Not only does it have very good tennis coaches but also a great American education system.

Nadal says the core values include the ‘spirit of work’, the ‘right education’ and the ‘right values’. He understands that not all promising teenage tennis players will make it as a professional tennis player so he wants the academy to prepare them for that life too. Nadal stresses that teamwork is very important, and you cannot just go on thinking about only yourself. He also believes friendship is special and the right friends last a lifetime.

Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams might be great adversaries on and to some extent off the field too, but they come together when the cause is right.

At the Tennis Academy there is a Rafael Nadal Museum too, which houses Nadal’s trophies and most of his tennis valuables. Sharapova and Serena have both gifted the museum with valuable memorabilia. Sharapova gifted them a signed tennis attire, while Serena gifted them a signed tennis shoe.

Rafael Nadal who recently withdrew from the Rotterdam Open is currently recovering from a back injury. Next up is the Mexican Open which is on hard court but post that is the Monte-Carlo Masters. The Monte Carlo event will mark the beginning of the Clay Court season.

The king of clay will hope to be fully ready and prepared for that. He would love to add to his 20 Grand Slams, and chances are this French Open will be his 21st one.
