Rafael Nadal had a lot going on in his recent appearance at the Roland Garros. Even though he exited in the very first round against Alexander Zverev, his presence was quite significant.
Along with a new kit from Nike, Nadal wore a brand-new watch to his match against Zverev. It was the latest Richard Mille watch, which reportedly costs around 1.1 Million USD. Richard Mille, a Swiss luxury watchmaker, and Nadal’s longtime sponsor and friend, released a brand new watch RM 27-05 Flying Tourbillon Rafael Nadal.
The luxury piece was worn by Nadal during the match and almost all the fans were amused by it. Unlike other players, the Spaniard is one of the few who wears his watch while on the court.

Rafael Nadal and Richard Mille’s unbreakable friendship through the years
The friendship between Spanish ace Rafael Nadal and luxury brand owner Richard Mille goes way back. He is not just another friend of the Spaniard, in fact, he shares an unbreakable bond with the watchmaker. Having started in 2010, the two celebrate 14 years together, having released over 11 models of the watch.
It started with the unique RM 027 Tourbillon, the first in the Nadal series, and soon, his signature watch had taken the world by storm. The specialty of the watches was that it was created in such a robust fashion to feel almost weightless on Nadal’s arm while being able to withstand his powerful groundstrokes.
With every watch being better than the previous one, the latest release has outdone all the other. With many hours of work put into it, they have managed to only release 80 of the special edition watches which can store power for upto 55 hours.
