Rafael Nadal will return to action once again at the Australian Open 2021. The Spaniard has suffered four final losses in Melbourne so far and would be hoping to claim his second Australian Open title in February, next year. The Australian Open is expected to commence from February 8 after it was postponed from it’s initial start date of January 18.

The players are expected to arrive in Australia between 15-17 January and will have to undergo two weeks of mandatory quarantine, which has thrown the participation of many players in question. However, Rafael Nadal is all but confirmed to play at the Australian Open 2021, after his rumoured Nike outfit was revealed on social media.

The Spaniard donned the Nike Court Aeroreact outfit at the French Open this year, where he won his historic 20th Grandslam title. At the Australian Open, he will be wearing the same line of Nike apparel, with a few colour changes.The outfit consists of a coral Nike T-shirt which will be a part of company’s Spring’21 line too. Nike have also reported added a Vamos Rafa hat to go with the outfit.

No more sleeveless outfits for Nadal?

Rafael Nadal who burst onto the scene in the second half of the 2000s, is remembered with his signature sleeveless looks, with which he reached the pinnacle of tennis. However, he ditched that look in 2009. But, the Spaniard returned to sleeveless at the Australian Open 2018 and has done so in the past three years in Melbourne.

In 2018, where Nadal lost to Marin Cilic in the quarterfinals, he wore a grey sleeveless shirt. In 2019, when he lost to Novak Djokovic in the finals, he wore an orange sleeveless top. At this year’s Australian Open, the Spaniard wore a vibrant bright pink sleeveless top. However, this year at Melbourne, he has decided to ditch his famous sleeveless look.
