Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling has reportedly made a decision on his future at the club amidst uncertainty over his future. The 29-year-old forward is open to joining rivals Manchester United, before the end of the summer transfer deadline.
Sterling is expected to leave Chelsea this summer, after having fallen out of favor with manager Enzo Maresca. The Italian manager has been made to work with an inflated 44-man Chelsea squad, which he aims to cut down upon. Sterling would be one of the players to move out, having trained away from the first-team and also not featuring in the club’s first two EPL matches. The ex-Man City forward has not enjoyed the best of his form at the club, having scored just 19 goals in 81 outings.
Sterling had not been provided with a jersey number as well, with the manager effectively hinting that he does not require the 29-year-old’s services any more. Recent reports have suggested shocking transfer links to rivals Manchester United, with the Red Devils looking to find a backup for out-of-form Marcus Rashford. The deal would also involve a swap, involving forward Jadon Sancho, who might move to the other side. However, Sterling’s massive £325,000 a-week wages can prove to be a hindrance.

Not only United, but Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are also interested in signing the veteran forward. Apart from him, Ben Chilwell, Trevoh Chalobah and goalkeeper Kepa have also been linked with a move out of the club.
