It always felt like cricket should be a part of this [Olympics]. It is truly a great game. It is followed by so many people around the world. It is fantastic for someone like me who is now only a fan. It is truly phenomenal.

However, many IPL teams want him in the team due to his successful tenure with India U-19, India A and the senior team. As per reports, Rajasthan Royals want him to replace Kumar Sangakkara in IPL 2025.

As mentioned, Dravid has recently achieved success with Team India. He suffered a humiliating group-stage exit as a captain of Team India in the 2007 ODI World Cup in Carribean. After 17 years, he has now led India to a T20 World Cup win on the same soil, but this time, as their head coach.
