The decision to include cricket in the 2028 summer Olympics in Los Angeles was already made. The whole nation was overjoyed with this long-awaited historic decision. Now, former Team India head coach, Rahul Dravid has displayed his excitement regarding cricket being included in the Olympics.

Dravid stated that he always wanted cricket to be a part of the Olympics as it’s one of the most popular sport in the world and is watched by millions of people. He expressed his excitement to watch it unfold in the Olympics as a cricket fan.

Dravid is now without any contract as Gautam Gambhir has replaced him as the head coach of India. However, many IPL teams want him in the team due to his successful tenure with India U-19, India A and the senior team. As per reports, Rajasthan Royals want him to replace Kumar Sangakkara in IPL 2025.

Rahul Dravid led India to the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 win

As mentioned, Dravid has recently achieved success with Team India. He suffered a humiliating group-stage exit as a captain of Team India in the 2007 ODI World Cup in Carribean. After 17 years, he has now led India to a T20 World Cup win on the same soil, but this time, as their head coach.
