UFC and injuries and almost inseparable, these fighters put their bodies on the line to win the fight against each other. But today an unusual event was seen at UFC Vegas 13, prelims in the fight between Max Griffin and Ramiz Brahimaj.

This was Ramiz’s first appearance at the Octagon and Griffin made it a nasty one. From the start of the second round of this welterweight fight Griffin landed a huge punch that puffed up the left eye of Ramiz and blood drew out from it.

As the round proceeds and they entered the third round Griffin struck with an elbow that nearly sliced the ear of Ramiz. His ear was detached from the top portion of the head as soon as referee Marc Smith realized that his ear has been severely damaged he called out the fight.

With this Griffin secured the win in the 2.03 mark of the fight with an unusual but brutal stoppage.

The people over Twitter go crazy by this unbelievable thing that happened at the Octagon. Even the UFC president Dana White shared the status of Brahimaj’s ear. Brett Okamoto says, “The sound of Max Griffin saying ‘Oh my God, Oh my God,’ after nearly slicing a man’s ear off with an elbow just miiiiight haunt my dreams tonight.”

Mike Perry says, “This man Max Griffin ripped this guys ear off”. In the post-match conference Griffin says, “I just needed volume, and once the volume started coming, the last thing I remember was I looked back at his ear like, ‘Oh, it’s over.”
