Ramon Planes appointed as new technical director at FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona have appointed Ramon Planes as the new technical director. The Blaugrana’s changes in their management continues, after sacking Setien and Abidal yesterday. Planes replaces the outgoing Abidal who was sacked as the club look to revamp after the 8-2 humiliation.
Planes, 52 has worked at a number of clubs including Espanyol, Racing Santander, Alaves, Lleida, Elche, and Rayo Vallecano. The Spaniard joined FC Barcelona as an assistant to Abidal in 2018, from Getafe.
The appointment of Planes as technical director was confirmed shortly before Koeman’s managerial appointment. Ronald Koeman, the Dutch, and Barcelona icon has been announced as the new manager of FC Barcelona. Koeman will replace the outgoing Setien who endured a tough time in Catalunya.
