Randy Orton is set to collide with John Cena at Backlash for the Undisputed WWE Championship. The Viper is determined to end Cena’s reign of terror—a dark chapter where Cena has vowed to ruin wrestling as we know it. But this time, Orton believes their clash is unlike anything they’ve ever experienced before. This isn’t just another chapter in their storied rivalry—it’s a battle to save the soul of WWE.

Speaking with Billboard, The Apex Predator pointed out that never before have he and Cena found themselves on opposite sides of the moral spectrum—Cena as the heel and Orton as the babyface—at the same time. That dynamic alone makes this battle uniquely compelling. But for Orton, this isn’t just about winning the Undisputed WWE Championship; it’s about defending the very essence of wrestling.

It’s different, because I’m the good guy, and that’s never been the case before — so I don’t know what to expect. I wouldn’t say I’m nervous, but I’m very excited to see, because usually I know the type of reaction I’m going to get, or at least I know the type of reaction I want.

The Viper believes that if he loses this Saturday, Cena will be closer than ever to destroying the spirit of professional wrestling for the WWE Universe. For Orton, it’s a must-win situation—failure is simply not an option. He also reflected on his long-standing rivalry with Cena, noting that they’ve been at odds for nearly two decades. This “One Last Time” isn’t just a fight for the title—it’s a tribute to the fans.

The Legend Killer has marched into St. Louis with unwavering confidence ahead of this highly anticipated clash. While it remains to be seen what Triple H might have in store for the fans, one thing is certain—John Cena could resort to underhanded tactics to tip the scales. However, Orton is no stranger to mind games or shortcuts; he’s played that game for years and mastered it.

Speaking with Billboard, The Legend Killer admitted it was a tough question—but one he had an answer for. Orton first named NXT star Miles Borne as someone he believes has the potential to thrive on the main roster. However, he emphasized that adding Austin Theory to the faction could be a game-changing move—not just for Theory, but for the entire group.

I’ve always been an Austin Theory fan. I feel like he just needed to mature a little bit — just like we all do ’cause he started young — but starting that young and having that much going for you, you’re ahead of the game. Now that he’s becoming a man — so to speak before our eyes — I could see him finding who he is in that ring and settling down

The Viper revealed that he’s been an Austin Theory believer for quite some time. While he previously felt that The Unproven One needed more time to mature on the main roster, Orton now believes Theory is finally ready for a major push. It’ll be interesting to see whether Triple H takes Orton’s insight into account when deciding the next addition to Seth Rollins’ dominant faction.

Ah, man. You know what? I get in trouble with my wife if I play her songs in the gym. I got to meet Sexyy at an NXT show in October and my wife and kids were there. She was great, and of course she’s from St. Louis. I don’t know who I’d take off, but maybe we’ll do a top five an throw Sexyy in there, too.
